Its that time of the month again when I share my fav products sorry I coudln’t film a video my shoot schedule has been hectic but here they are. Its mostly skincare this month as that has been what I have been busy testing the most from budget to really high end.
Fist up starting with the Skin Republic Collagen Infusion anti ageing mask these cost just R45 each a pack and I was sent 4 weeks worth to test out and see what I thought. Its been almost 4 weeks and I wanted to share how much I really like them. Each mask is a sheet that has the product infused into it which you put onto a clean complexion and leave on for 15/20 mins. I have been using at night because I can sit and watch TV while its on and actually just take time out to relax even though I look a bit scary to my kids wearing it. My skin feels so fresh and super smooth after as it contains moisture boosting marine collagen, Elastin and Vitamin E plus my complexion has definitely got a glow on.
My new favourite skin care brand is a local South African brand called Skoon its a mixture of organic and natural products and my all time favourite of the products I have been testing is the Glow Drops (R525). I love it that much that after I finished the tester I ordered my own and this bad boy gives me a gorgeous glow and makes my skin feel unbelievable. The drops have a concentrated blend of flower essences and Phytosqualan that nourishes the skin leaving nothing but a luminous glow. I apply 2/3 drops into my moisturiser and then apply.
Which leads me onto the La Prarie White Caviar Illuminating moiturising cream (R6000) which is a crazy amount of money to spend on a cream but if you are really into skincare on a whole other level and are happy to splash out then you may want to consider this one. Now I only got a tester to try out and I have to say my skin loved it especially when I mixed some glow drops in. Its filled with active brightening ingredients to help make skin look younger. After use my skin was glowing, super hydrated and just felt amazing.
I literally can’t get enough of the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted hydrating gel cream. Its my go to base day and night and will definetly be my spring/summer base as its light and has a pretty good covearge and just makes my skin glow like never before. Sadly its not available in SA so get your UK friends to get you one because when I am back in London this month I am going to be stocking up.
Now you all know I love a makeup brush and my latest purchase is the Mac duo fibre 287 brush for the eyes (R380) its perfect for blending cream shadows or to create a subtle wash across the lids all the way up to the brow bone or just to apply eyeshaow onto the lids. Its super soft and is definitely going to be a firm favourite of mine. But what I love about makeup brushes is that they are so versatile as I can work this brush using highlighter on the key pint of the face or even feather lipstick. LOVE
The Chanel Volume Ultra Noir mascara (R485) from the their Autumn makeup collection has taken its place in my personal stash and into my every day makeup bag. If you didn’t catch my makeup video applying the mascara then check out my post here. Yes it is on the pricey side but its a goodie giving much love to my non existent lashes and I am not sharing this one.
