How To Create An Ombre Lip

Earlier this week I did an ombre lip as part of the look paired with a fresh clean face. Ombre lips has been a big trend so here is a step by step guide on how to create the dark ombre lip:

  • Make sure lips are hydrated first.
  • Take a dark berry lipstick and apply over the lips this will be your base colour. I used Mac Creamsheen in Hang Up.
  • Take a lip brush and apply a black gel liner around the edges of your lips, in this image I used Mac Blacktrack Fluidline. Make sure you blend the edges so take a soft brush and start to blend.
  • To finish off the look take a bright red lipstick and apply with either the lipstick or your fingers into the inside of your mouth to really make the lip pop. I used Revlon Matt Lipstick in Really Red.

Here are some other cool ombre lips that you can try out at home:

Some of the examples are with 2 colours some 3. If you just going with 2 then apply your darker colour first and then with your fingers dab the lighter colour into the inner part of your lips to create the ombre effect. If you are going with more than 2 then apply my steps to create your ombre effect.

Have fun and hope you enjoyed my post. x
