My shoot yesterday was all about the bronzed sun kissed glow with a Giselle Bundchen kind of vibe. I had 3 very gorgeous girls to work with Jenna, Emma and Thias but all very different. The last model Thias is Brizalian so she already had that sunkissed skin glow going on but I still had to create for all 3 using different products.
Its a big trend coming up for spring this year and although we are in winter in Cape Town is definitely a look you can work when you feel really pastey and when you have a tan going on you can work it too. The foundations varied for the girls but I used Benefit Oxygen Wow on Jenna, Georgio Armani Luminous Silk on Emma and a Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser on Thias.
My Mac warm neutrals palette and Smashbox Full Exposure palette were the key items for the eyes with Saddle playing a big role in the look its definitely one of my favourite eyeshadows at the moment. I applied the butterfudge shade from the Mac palette all the way up to the brow, took saddle up to the crease and bottom lash line and then from the Smashbox palette the chocolate shade along the crease and along the bottom lash line. Then for a pop on the lids I applied with my fingers Mac pro long wear paint pot Let Me Pop on the lids. For the lashes I applied the Benefit They’re Real Mascara to really open up the eyes and gave strong brows to compliment the look.
Now for the bronzing part Benefit Hoola and Smashbox Contour Kit were my best friends I went darker with Thias as she is already sun kissed and worked the lighter shade from the Smashbox kit for Emma as she has the palest skin.
For the cheeks I worked tan/peach shades in as all the skin needed to look sun kissed but the key product was from Mac the blush Make You Mine.
Lips were kept healthy looking with Elizabeth Arden 8HR cream and I mixed shades from my mac modern browns lip palette.
