Get The Look: Elizabeth Arden

Elizabeth Arden kindly sent me a whole load of make up for me to try out on my self and on shoots. I have only ever used the Eight Hour Cream before which is amazing. What I can say is that I absolutely love what I tried. So this post is a Get the Look as well as a review so I can explain why I love what I used:

Elizabeth Get The Look

Visible Difference Multi Targeted BB Cream R295: I prepped my skin with the BB cream in shade 2 and massaged in using my fingers. I love this BB cream as it has a really luxurious texture and it melts into the skin. It can definitely be worn on its own if you are not a fan of wearing too much make up or don’t like foundation. It has a sheer coverage and leaves skin looking really healthy and glowing plus it has an SPF of 30 so you don’t need to apply sunscreen. Normally I prep my skin with moisturiser but you wouldn’t have to with this cream as its so hydrating.  If you suffer from bad skin then this will not be enough on its own also if your skin is really oily this may not be for you as its really moisturising and maybe too much. The BB cream is formulated with hyaluronic and key anti-ageing ingredients which helps with skin’s brightness. The cream comes in 3 shades so it isn’t suitable for all so hopefully they will introduce more shades at some point.

Flawless Finish Sponge Cream Fondation in Toast 73 R295:  I really love this foundation you can either use fingers, a foundation brush or the sponge that comes with it but make sure if you use the sponge you clean it afterwards. I used the sponge and it glides on smoothly, to get more coverage you can press the foundation into the skin using a patting motion. Comined with the foundation and BB cream my skin felt really soft. This foundation is very light on the skin and definitely gives a flawless finish. The foundation has a great range from light to darker skin tones although there is no shade for very dark skin.

Beautiful Colour Eye Shadow Duo in Tempting Taupe R245: I got sent a range of eye shadows but I went for this shade as its more wearable for day time. I blended the lighter shade over the entire lid up to the crease and then I took a blending brush and blended the taupe shade into the crease and at the outer edge of the eye to wing out slightly and then I applied some under the lash line all the way to the inner corner of my eye. Really nice eyeshadows and they blend really easily, each colour pigment particle is coated with a blend of silky silcone, Retinol Linoleate (Elizabeth Arden’s patented Vitamin A) and antioxidants (Vitamin C & E) that gives the great pigmentation and soft texture.

Beautiful Colour Lash Enhacing Mascara in Black R195: The applicator for the mascara is really thin but it really gets into the root of the lash and opens them up. I struggle with not much lashes and its quite hard to see in the picture but the mascara really made my lashes look full and totally opened up my eyes and  I didn’t need to curl them either. The mascara is powered by a triple peptide which has a clump free, flake free formula that helps protect lashes.

Elizabth Arden has great quality products and I was left pleasantly suprised by the quality of the make up. The products will definitely go into my pro kit and I have already used one of the darker foundations and eyeshadow duo on one of my shoots already and am really loving them.

I hope you enjoyed my post. x
