Highlighting, Highlighting, Hightlighting

When doing make up one of my favourite parts of creating a look is highlighting. Sometimes I highlight the face a lot especially if its for a beauty shoot and sometimes its very subtle. Most women I meet especially the every day woman don’t really wear much make up or love make up but don’t know how to use the products. Highlighting gives a little extra and can give a natural glow to the skin.

There are so many products on the market but you don’t have to buy a product that is only a highlighting product. You can cheat and use a shimmer eye shadow or a shimmer cream eye shadow and apply in the key areas or invest in a highlighting product.

When highlighting think of where the light will catch, so the top of the cheek bone, the temple, the middle of the nose, the brow bone and the cupids bow. You can apply with fingers or a brush depending on the product you are using and how much you want to highlight.

Here are some highlighting products I have in my kit. The bronze highlighters are amazing on dark skin and really make the face pop. The Illumasqua Gleam cream can be mixed into the foundation and gives the skin a real glow or can be just used in certain areas to highlight. This is just a small selection of what is available the list is endless.

I hope you enjoyed my post.
