I was so excited to test out the new Lancome L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks. As they have been reinvented by one of my favourite makeup artists the lovely Lisa Eldridge who is the Creative Director for the brand. Lisa is one of those artists that if its good enough for her then it will be good enough for me. The new lipsticks come in beautiful packaging that you just click and voila the lippie pops out. With literally each shade represented to suit every skin tone. Plus two different textures cream and matte so that there is something here for everyone.
The Lancome L’Absolut Rouge (R399) has been reinvented after 25 years with shades ranging from nudes, punchy orange, intense reds, deep raspberries and vibrant pinks. I tested out the gorgeous shade of red called rouge flamboyant that is more on the orange red. Its a beautiful matte shade that literally feels so light on the lips and super hydrating. The colour pay off is beautiful and super pigmented so you don’t need to apply loads of layers. I love that there is a matt version as that is definitely my favourite texture.
The packaging is a sleek black tube with the gold Lancome flower on the top which actually is a button that you click which releases the lipstick. Its very chic and definitely makes a statement when you take it out of your hand bag to reapply.
In stores this month the Lancome L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks are totally gorgeous and definitely a perfect gift for yourself or for a loved on this up coming festive season. Love them and they are definitely staying in my private stash as I am not sharing them.
