Revlon Colourburst

Juicy Glossy Lips with Revlon

Thanks to Michelle from Revlon for sending me a bag of goodies in time for winter. Two items stood out for me, the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Invite Only because my lips are constantly dry and the Colourburst Bejeweled Lip Gloss in no 58. Put them together and you have serious juicy lips.

I have to admit I never really went for drugstore products and always believed you had to spend money on makeup for it to be good until I became a makeup artist and a blogger. More and more of the drugstore brands have seriously raised their game and now makeup is of amazing quality and more affordable.

The Limited Edition Invite Only Lip Balm which retails at R125 is expensive for what it is because it hasn’t got any colour its more a shimmery lip balm but gives the lips a beautiful high shine with a natural finish and a touch of shimmer. If you on a budget and just looking to hydrate lips then opt for a normal lip balm. Don’t be scared that its green we aren’t going back to the 80’s once applied its all natural as you can see below. The lip butter can be used on its own but its actually perfect paired with the Revlon Colourburst Lip Gloss and leaves lips feeling super hydrated.

The Colourburst Lip Gloss is really nice retailing at R120 and I would definitely invest in more shades and its definitely a great budget buy. The shade I was sent is a very light pink and combined with the lip butter my lips looked juicy and really glossy with flawless foundation, a bit of contouring and lots of mascara is a perfect day wear look. The lip gloss is very sheer so if you looking for something more they have a few shades available. The gloss feels amazing on the lips and glides on easily with the applicator.

The whole whole Revlon Colourburst range really offer some great products so a good budget buy overall.
