So far I am loving 2016 with some amazing new makeup launches and this week I got to play around with the new Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24HR Foundation. I am normally a liquid foundation kind of a girl but its always great to try the latest powder foundations and see how they work out. Lancome are known for beautiful makeup and gorgeous foundations and I have to say even though I don’t normally go for powders I like this one. Its a great alternative to a liquid foundation if you are not a fan of wearing a base. Its super light and feels like you are wearing absolutely nothing on your skin.
I gave the powder a go yesterday before I left for my shoot its super natural and definitely falls into the no makeup makeup vibe kind of like the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder. The powder can also be worked in over liquid foundation to really set it for the day or take the darker shades and work as a bronzer to contour your face. The powder is more of the matt look so great for the ladies with oily complexions that love that natural look and don’t have to worry about the makeup falling off your face or leaving awful smudges. What I like about the powder is all my freckles show though and it just gives the illusion of healthy looking skin so great to out on if you off to the beach and want to look healthy but looks like you have no makeup on.
There are quite a few shades in the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24HR Foundation from fair to a the darker skin tones which is great. I love the packaging as it makes it easy to pop into your handbag and apply or touch up throughout the day plus the silver lid protects the powder and just looks pretty. The foundation launches Feb/March retailing at R565 so its definitely on the more expensive side so for some of you this will be an investment product but definitely worth giving a try.
