So today I was shooting a Levi’s story for an online site www.afashionfriend.co.za. I took some behind the scenes shots of the make up and a couple of the hair styles. We did 5 hair styles in total but kept the make up pretty much the same. I wanted to create beautiful contoured and highlighted skin with silver eyes.

Silver make up is so on trend at the moment it was all over spring/summer 2013 catwalks and in magazine beauty stories.

I used on the skin Dr Hauschka creme a la rose day cream , Estee Lauder Maximum coverage foundation in ivory and creamy tan to take away any redness, around the nose and mixed it with the Estee Lauder day cream, under the eyes I applied Clinique airbrush concealer  in neutral fair and the rest of the face I applied Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation.

For the eyes I used the mac white pencil as a base and blended that in, I then applied the Chanel d’ombre in no 84 over the lid up to ther crease and then dabbed in the middle of the lid the new mac pressed pigment in  Blue Willow. In the crease I applied Trish McEvoy eyehsdow in glaze Cafe Latte to create definition. In the inner corner of the eye i applied Mac pigment in vanilla. I filled in the brows with Benefit brow zing in light, curled the lashes and applied Maybelline One by One Volume Express mascara in black.

For the contour I used mac blush ombre in springshine (limited edition) and the highlight I used the Jemma Kidd all over radiance cream in iced gold (sadly discountinued). And on the cheek mac mineralise blush in  dainty.

On the lip I applied mac lip pencil Bodly bare and then applied mac lipstick shy girl and archetype mixed in with Mac lipmix lip pigment in mid-tone nude and dabbed mac clear gloss.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Will post the pics from the shoot in the next few weeks. xxx
