Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment
Last week I decided to take myself into Lush and see what all the fuss was about. A lot of models I work with kept telling me how great they products are. Walking around the store I came across the Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment and as I had the spot the size of a mountain on my chin I decided to try it out.
So what is in this all natural product?
Its a gel that has a gentle infususion of thyme, tea tree and rosemary which helps clean up problematic dirt and cleanse the microbes that cause spots, and soothing aloe vera gel that calms and hydrates irritated skin and stop spots from forming.
Carrageenan Moss: Its a seaweed to create the Grease Lightening soothing gel base.
Matt Finish: The gel also works well to control excess oil especially the T-zone.
500 Green Grapes per batch: The green grapes help combat the dirt that builds up around the spots.
So what did I think?
I applied the gel on the spot when my face was clean and you can apply as many times as you like. My spot was pretty big and of course on my chin and I needed something that would dry it out. When I applied I could feel the skin tighten with the gel which was the Hazel working, it took about 3 to 4 days but the spot dried out and started getting smaller. I was very sceptical at first as I am always wary of all natural products and do they actually work but I was pleasantly suprised at how well it worked. If you keep applying then the spot will slowly disappear and leave no scarring behind.
The gel smells of herbs which didn’t bother me at all and can also be used as a toner and then moisturise after so really great for those who suffer from oily skin. The Lush Grease Lightning is also a budget product retailing at R95 so pretty impressed.
