You all know I am a lover of all things Mac especially when it comes to lippies. I would say when I am on a shoot 70% of the time I reach for a Mac lipstick because they just get the colours right especially the reds, oranges and dark winter shades. What I also love is that Mac is bang on trend and always keep us makeup artists happy with so many collections coming out. This month Mac have brought out these limited edition lustre Mac is Beauty Lips in 12 shades in stores now.
Thanks to the lovely Malaika from Mac I got my hands on one of the shades from the collection Notice Me a beautiful Lilac shade that will look amazing on the fair to medium skin tones. In a campaign I did for Jay Jay’s last year I used a pretty much similar shade on the model with a cat eye and it looked amazing on so it may be a shade you are not automatically drawn too but its super cool on. Its a little light for me because I have a tan but you can get an idea of the texture and how it looks on.
The collection is very pretty consisting of pinks, nudes and coral shades with the yellow and lilac thrown in and even though we are in Autumn there really is nothing nicer than a pretty colour to brighten up that complexion especially if you are looking a little pastey. The texture of the lipsticks are extremly moisturising on the lips with a shine looking finishing that adds a little gloss effect to the lipstick.
Each lipstick retails at R210 and are in stores till the end of May so if one of these shades looks like your colour then get yourself to Mac soon as these shades will start selling out fast.
