My Airplane Beauty Essentials

In exactly 3 sleeps I will be getting on a plane to London. Excited beyond words. I know I go on and on about the beauty routine but when you are flying its even more key because skin gets so dehydrated. So here are some key airplane beauty essentials for when I am travelling long haul:

Remember you don’t want to be sleeping with your makeup on and you are also limited to what you are taking on the plane especially with me and 2 kids literally having to take everything but the kitchen sink. The Dermalogica Precleanse Wipes will make sure all the dirst has been removed as well as mascara and you will have a lovely clean face before you sleep.

No matter what I always put a serum and a moisturiser on my face and one of my all time favs is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. What you out on your face at night is so key as your skin works at its best when you are sleeping and with this serum you wake up to beautiful skin. The serum works to maximise the skin’s natural night time repair with their exclusive ingredient ChronoluxCB, which helps repair and give the appearance of younger looking skin,  as well as neutralising 90% of the environmants damage during the day and giving intense hydration with ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid to lock the moisture in.

Now putting a mask on is optional but my skin totally dries out so the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque is an absolute winner in this situation as its highly moisturising and leaves skin super refreshed due to its unique hyaluronic acid which traps the moisture in to give lasting suppleness. Its probably a nice one to apply in the night or in the morning when you wake up.

Since flying pretty much stresses the skin out I am loving the Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer and is perfect for this type of situation, its a restorative moisturiser with ingredients such Rosa Gallica Botanical Extract & Mannose which help reduce the skin’s visible response to stress while protecting and reinforcing the skin’s barrier. As well as Chamomile to give your skin comfort and basically feel fresh and amazing.

For me eye cream is so important the older I get and when I am tired and my skin is dehydrated you can see the fine lines under my eyes so I need me a little Clarins love with the Clarins Extra Firming Eye Contour Cream. The cream gives me the extra nourishment I need with ingredients like Organic blackcurrant bud extract, betaine and Shea Butter. My under eye area is left soft and smooth after application so yes please to that.

Sorry but I can’t travel without mascara, I never bother applying makeup on the plane but the one item I go nowhere without is my mascara. I am currently loving the Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara to give my sad lashes some serious volume.

Lastly lips need a lot of hydration I suffer from dry lips especially when I am travelling, Carmex Lip Balm is a great budget product. I love love love this stuff as its one of the few lip products out there that work for me. With its key ingredient of cocoa butter this bad boy will take away those chapped lips.
