autumn winter beauty

So sadly the weather is changing here in beautiful Cape Town and we are slowly losing our tans. I wanted to share some of my autumn winter beauty picks. Even though there are some sunny days left the nights are colder and the days aren’t as hot. I love the dark berry shades, purples, dark nails, smokey eyes and really hydrated skin.

So here are my autumn winter beauty picks:

Mac Strobe Cream: Skin needs a lot of love when the weather gets colder and if like me you like to have your skin illuminated and hydrated then a little bit of Strobe Cream mixed into your foundation will really give your skin a boost it needs.

Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost: There is nothing better than a Vitamin C boost to the skin. This serum creates an instant radiance and applies smoothly onto the skin. Perfect to apply before you put on your makeup and will help keep that foundation on a little longer. Its a great pick me up for the skin and give it a little glow. Infused with Amazonian Camu Berry which has the highest content of Vitamin C. Antioxidant Vitamin C helps brighten the skin, boost collagen production and works with softening the skin due to its Vitamin E ingredient.

Charlotte Tilbury The Vintage Vamp Palette: Winter clothes get darker and so does the makeup. I love the Charlotte Tilbury palettes and this beautiful palette is perfect to realy rock the autumn/winter trend. You can either giv a wash of the enhnace shade on your lid and then prime shade in the inner corner of the eyes. Or go all the way and add the beautiful bronze shimmer shade to the centre of the lids to really make the eyes pop.

Mac Lipstick in Dubbonet: Love this shade with a flawless finish on the skin and lots of mascara. If a red shade is too bright or the darker berry’s aren’t right for you. This is a beautiful dark red perfect for the winter months and would look amazing with a dark nail. Plus the finish is really hydrating so won’t dry out your lips.

Revlon Colourburst Matt Balm in Shameless Desinvolte: I love these new Revlon matt balms I have bought myself quite a few. This beautiful purple shade is a perfect winter colour and looks amazing on medium to dark skin tones. Again another great colour to go with a dewy finish on the skin, a touch of liner on the eyes finished with lashings of mascara.

Mac Minerlise Moisture SPF Foundation: A beautiful foundation to keep your skin hydrated and moisturised especially when the cold weather can make your skin dry. I love this foundation as it has a beautiful and nartural seamless finish.

Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder: As we lose our tan we need to cheat the healthy glow and add some colour to the face. This budget bronzer is a great way to create a healthy glow thaat looks really natural due to its matt finish. Take a large brush and apply in a no 3 motion down the side of the face, apply a little to the chin and apply onto the top of the forehead.

Essie Polish in Carry On: A beautiful dark berry polish that really looks so beautiful on pretty much any skin tone. Apply 2 coats to get the full darkness of the shade.

Elizabeth Arden 8HR Cream: There is nothing worse than dry lips and dry skin. I am a massive fan of the 8HR cream, its amazing to hydrate those lips and to even add onto your lipstick. Its also amazing if you add onto the top of your cheek bones to give that high gloss hine and really lift your skin. If you nail cuticles are feeling dry apply some to give the hydration back and even add onto split ends on your hair to seal the ends.

Hope you get some inspiration from my autumn winter beauty picks.
