This week was a big one for me in terms of work so am very excited to share with you all. As always I have packed all my highlights of the week into one post for you so here it is:

1) YAY I did the makeup for the cover of Elle magazine which is very exciting for me as normally they have celebrities on the cover. The model Milan is one of the most amazing girls I had the pleasure to work with and had such an amazing energy on the day. The look for the cover was fresh and clean with a beautiful dark red lip. Her skin was prepped with Dermalogica Skincare, foundation was the Bobbi Brown stick foundation with the Mac Bronze cream colour base as the highlighter which I layered under and over the foundation. I groomed her brows with Clarins Be Long Mascara to really give definition and kept eyes pretty neutral using Body Shop Cocoa eyeshadow, I contoured using Bobbi Brown Espresso eyeshadow and for the lips I mixed some shades up but the base was Mac Ruby Woo.

2) Morgan Taylor invited a whole load of us to a screening of Cinderella as they have a whole range inspired by the movie, if you didn’t catch my post then you can check it out here again. We all got our nails done and in the spirit of Autumn I chose the colour Well Spent a gorgeous deep purple/berry shade and I have to say it looked pretty gorgeous on. Normally after a day my nails are chipped but this one lasted for 5 days so I am pretty happy with that.

3) Chanel have launched some new shades in their CC Cream range which I have been playing around with this week and also landed on counters this week. Sadly the beige 40 shade is too pink for me as I have more of a yellow undertone so I am hoping they bring out some more shades. Their origional shade was amazing for pale skin complexion especially if you suffered from redness. There are now 3 shades 20, 30 and 40 beige so will be amazing for the more pink undertone skin tone and yes its pricey at R960 but if you are a lover of Chanel and don’t mind paying then you may want to try this one out.

4) Avon delivered some new products this week and I really liked the look of the Ideal Flawless CC pearls that will help colour correct your complexion with 5 different colour balls so if you couldn’t afford the Guerlian ones then take note. Watch this space as next week will be doing a full post.

Hope you had an amazing week.
