When I saw on Bloglovin that Real Techniques were bringing out a whole new luxe looking range of bold metal brushes I went straight onto the Boots site and ordered a few for me cause you know me I need new things all the time especially new brushes. The brushes look amazing and super soft and how I see it you never have enough brushes in your makeup kit.

Now I didn’t want to go for the whole range but bought the 4 out of the 7 to give them a try and they are pricier than the origional brushes but that’s because they have beautiful handles that are gold, rose gold and silver that are weighted with softer bristles.

So what do I think so far?

I have been testing them out the last 2 weeks on myself and on shoots and so far I am very happy. I like the shape of the handles they make it easier to hold and therefore apply the makeup musch easier plus I love the feel of the brushes.

Real Techniques 1The foundation brush is a little different to what I am used to as its triangle in shape and not as soft as the other brushes but I like how the foundation gets distributed, it definitely gives an even coverage and the triangle helps you get into all the places but the hairs are a little stiff when applying but otherwise I like it.

I love the oval shadow brush I have been using this one a lot and think its my fav so far, its great when sweeping the shadow on the lid and makes it so easy to blend out. The arched powder brush is great for applying setting powder to mattify the shiney areas, great for apply ing bronzer all over and creating a flush to the cheeks. The tapered brush is perfect for highlighting or a liitle contouring under the cheek bones.

Sadly they not available in the SA but where there is a will there is a way so see if you can get someone to get for you from the UK.
