Smashbox have introduced their latest collection the Smashbox Santigold which has been inspired by Santigold a genre defying musician, style renegade and a visionary artist across multiple plarforms celebrated by her fearless ability to fuse unexpected elements into her bold work. The collection represents everything about Santiago’s fashion style and absolute love of colour.
This collection is very playful with lots of bright colours and cool and bright packaging to match the feel of this summer collection. There are 2 palettes retailing at R380, Earth As We Know It which is definitely my favourite of the 2 for my skin tone and Apocolypse Now which have a dry to wet formula with a high colour pay off.
For the Earth as we know It palette work the green shade into the inner corner, the chocolate into the crease and then the blue into the outer corner to create the smoke and then the shimmer silver shade into the inner corner. Alternatively you can just use the blue or the brown shade on its own, its up to you.

The second palette Apocolyse Now has the definite summer bright colours. For me I would use the black and the blue to create the intense smokey adding the peach orange as the pop.

In thie video’s you will see the liners being worked in with the different palettes. They are fun pencils with 2 shades per pencil retailing at R250. The Green and Yellow pencil will work really well with the Earth as We know it Palette and the Blue and Gold you could match with both or on their own to create really fun and edgy looks. They glide on beautifully and have a great colour payoff. I am totally in love with the blue shade Azurite Is Never Wrong but that’s because its my favourite colour right now.
Smashbox have gone into great detail on their site on how to work the palettes and how to create so many different looks really giving great value to the range. Check it out here.
I love this range is really fun with a whole range of colours to play with all year round. I will definitely be including in some video’s and working the palettes into my shoots. So watch this space.
