This is another video I filmed in the Women24 studio and its all about how to apply blush, what tools to use and shades to go for. Make up can be daunting for some so here is the video and showing you how easy it is to apply. There is nothing nicer then a healthy glow to the skin or a pop of colour when you are feeling pale especially in the winter. Thanks again to the lovely Jana from women24 for being my model:

Make sure you invest in a blush brush when it comes to powder if you going for a cream blush you can get away with using your fingers.

Hope you enjoy the video.

So I filmed so How To video’s at the women24.com studio’s at the end of last year from how to apply foundation, brows, highlighting and contouring, applying blush, smokey eye and a nude lip. Here is the first instalment with me explaining about foundation and concealer with the lovely Jana from Women 24. When I showed my sister this morning she laughed and said I look just like a TV presenter! I am very serious when in front of the camera. So here is a tutorial on how to apply foundation and concealer.

Hope you enjoy it and will be posting more over the next couple of weeks.

I recently got my hands on the new Nars Eyeshadow Outremer which is an amazing Colbalt bright blue colour and I really wanted to create a tutorial using this shade. Its also a great alternative to a black or brown smokey eye and its very modern plus on trend! I also matched it with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hr eyeshadow in Electric blue as the base. If you can’t get your hands on the Nars shadow then you can just use the Maybelline cream shadow as its amazing on its own.

Here are the products I used:

Maybelline 24 HR Colour Tattoo in Electric Blue

Nars Eyeshadow in Outremer

Charlotte Tilbury Liquid Eye Pencil Rock n Kohl

Mac Brow Pencil in Fling

Charlotte Tilbury Fat Lashes Mascara

Topshop Glow highlighter in Gleam

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze

Makeup Forever HD Cream Blush in Coral

Maybelline Colour Whisper Lipstick in Cherry on Top

Hope you enjoy the tutorial. x

I wanted to do a tutorial using the amazing Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 HR Eyeshadows and pair it with a trend bright red lip. This tutorial is a quick and easy look that can be worn day or night.

Here is what I used to create the look:

  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
  • Maybelline 24 HR Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow
  • Mac Brow Pencil in Fling
  • Max Factor 2000 Calories Mascara
  • Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
  • Bourjois Cream Blush in no 2
  • Kiko Lipstick and Mac Lipstick in Ladybug
  • Soap and Glory One Heck of  a Blot

I did this shoot earlier this month with Barbara the new face of Sissy Boy. The brief was to definie the face and the eyes and give a bronzed feel as we shot by the water and with denim the wet hair and bronzed look goes perfectly.

So here is how I created the look:

  • I prepped the skin with Mac Prep and Prime Base Lumiere
  • For the skin I buffed in Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and I contoured using the Chanel Healthy Glow Powder in no 50 under the cheek bones, along the forehead, down the bridge of the nose and along the jaw line.
  • I highlighted on top of the cheek bones, along the bridge of the nose and on the cupids bow with Kevin Aucoin Celestail Powder.
  • For the eyes I used the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Bad to be Bronzed (can’t get enough of this product) I patted the product up to the crease and then from the crease to the eyebrow and I blended the shadow with a Mac 217 brush so that it was lighter then on the actual lid.
  • For the brows I used Mac brow pencil in Fling and Lingering and the lashes I used Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara.
  • On the cheeks I lightly dusted Mac Blush in Copper Tone.
  • The lips I applied Carmex first to ensure the lips were highdrated and then I used Mac Fall 13 Forecast Lips Palette using This is Autum which is a nude shade.

So my latest Elle Magazine Style For Less Editorial is out shot by Justin Polkey and the lovely model Emma Menteath. The clothes were very structured so the ladies from Elle wanted a flawless highlighted and contoured face and then a dramatic eye and brow. So here is how I created the look:

  • Prepped the skin Dr Haushka Light Day Rose Cream
  • Before applying foundation I highlighted the cheek bones with Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate
  • I applied Georgio Armani Luminous Foundation in no 4 (cheaper option is Maybelline FIT ME)
  • I concealed the skin under the eyes, on the cheeks and around the nose with Mac Pro/Correct Conceal Palette and Maybelline Wake Me Concealer.
  • For the eyes I applied Mac Paint Pot in Groundwork and then created the smokey eye using the Mac Veluxe Pearl Shadow in Brown Luxe taking the darkest shade and blending into the crease of the eye and winging it out and using the taupe colour onto the lids. This palette is a limited edition so try the Stilla Natural Eye Palette to create the same effect.
  • For the brows I went quite a few shades darker using the Mac Brow Pencil in Spiked and for the lashes I applied Benefit They’re Real Mascara.
  • I contoured under the cheek bones with the Chanel Healthy Glow Powder in no 40 and I highlighted on top of the cheek bones and into the temple with Becca Skin Illuminator.
  • For the cheeks I lightly dusted Mac blush in Sunbasque.
  • For the lips I applied Carmex to hydrate the lips and then using my fingers I applied a nude Mac lipstick with a peach tone.
