Terres D’Afrique Organic Skincare – The Verdict
Since starting this blog I would say that I have been learning so much about skincare. I first heard about the product through their facebook page and as its organic I was intrigued to find out more.
Terres D’Afrique is organic skincare which combines traditional botanical ingredients in powerful combinations and concentrations. No colour additives, synthetic fragrances or harmful chemicals are used. The ingredients have been combined in highly effective formulations to ramp up their skincare benefits and everything has been sourced from small local producers and the end result is not only more luxurious but also more personal.
I was kindly offered a complimentary treatment by Stephan Helary the product developer and the man behind the idea. I went for the Amanzi Hydrating Facial purely because I suffer from dry skin in the winter months and I need all the hydration I can get. As I am Cape Town based I was invited to the new Langaro Spa in Camps Bay. Its a newly renovated spa/salon and is one of 2 places in and around Cape Town that stocks this brand.
The treatment was amazing and left me feeling so relaxed. The smells of each product were gorgeous making the whole experience even better. As well as a facial I got a mini shoulder massage and while my face mask was on my hands and arms were massaged. Below is a picture of the products used for my facial.
The key products on my facial:
- Light Facial Cream with Marula, Manketti and Baobab which is fast absorbing with Omegas 3,6 and 9 and Vitamin C to hydrate and maintain elasticity. (smells slightly minty)
- Uplifting Serum with Kigelia, Baobab and Buchu with potent anti-aging properties. It tightens and firms reducing wrinkles and fine lines while preparing the skin for hydration.
- Gentle Face Scrub with Sugar, Marula Oil and Rooibos Flakes (smelt amazing) this gently removes dead cells, and softens, nourishes and stimulates cell regeneration.
- Deep Cleansing Mask with Clay, Coconut Oil and Aloe Ferox which is an oil based mud mask that deep cleans while extracting heavy metals and toxins. The oil helps prevent skin from drying.
My skin was left feeling smooth, soft and glowing. My therapist Chantelle was very accommodationg and gave me 3 mini samples of the products used on my facial so I can give myself a few more mini facials at home.
As well as facial products they also have products for the body and hands so am definitely going to try out a massage and report back. I absolutely love the fact the products are all natural. The products are priced from R20 for the Facial Glow to R900 and the majority are priced in the R250 – R400 mark so great prices for beautiful products. Will definitely be investing in some of the products.
Hope you enjoyed my post. x
