The Clarasonic Mia 2 has been on my radar for some time now, I have heard so many rave reviews and had been discussing it with friends that have it how amazing it is so when Nina from the L’Oreal Group told me I was getting one for my very own self I literally did a happy dance.
As you all know I am pretty much skincare obsessed when it comes to myself (38 years old remember) and for the models I work with. If you don’t have the skin right no matter what foundation just looks bad and there is no glow to the skin. So when this Clarasonic brush was in my hands I knew we were going to best friends.
How does it work I hear you all say? Well the brush is ultimately to help with deep cleansing by going beneath the skin’s surface so that when it comes to using your other beauty products they will be much more effective, it acts as an exfoliator to help remove dead skin so skin is super smooth and soft, reduces pore size and helps with breakouts and I have been told first hand from people that had bad skin it really saved them, I can also say since using I haven’t had any breakouts so happy days all around.
Its 6x better at removing makeup, dirt and oil than our hands can do so your skin is clean and fresh this will also help with breakouts. The sonic frequency has 300 movements per second and as well as all the amazing things it can do for your skin it will also improve skin tone and fine lines and wrinkles.
So how you use it is apply the cleanser on damp skin, wet the brush first its waterproof so you can use in the shower which makes my life a whole load easier. Gently work the brush in circular motions and when the brush finishes in that area it beeps. So 20 seconds on your forehead, 20 seconds on nose and chin and 10 seconds on each cheek. Its as easy as that and for someone like me who is always in a rush this brush is amazing because its so quick.
I have been using for a few weeks now normally every other day because my skin is in pretty good condition, my skin feels amazing after and my makeup looks flawless on. You can use twice a day but I think it would dry your skin out, if you do have bad skin definitely use once a day.
Its launching in SA in January 2015 at Stuttafords so get saving as its not cheap retailing at R2499 but it really is worth the investment. Its definitely going to improve your skin in the long term and all your skincare products will be able to really penetrate your skin and we all want glowing soft skin right?
Here is a little video from Clarasonic on how to use as I haven’t had a chance to film a video myself and show you the brush in action.
Have any of you tried the Clarasonic Mia 2 and what did you think would love to hear?
