Its that time of the year when any day now the weather is going to change and I am going to have to finally accept autumn/winter is here in Cape Town. Even though you still can wear a bright lip if you really want to, makeup choices will change and we will start reaching for berry lips, dark polishes and darker sexy smokey eyes.

Now technically the Juliette Armand Elements 03 Vitamin C serum (R495) isn’t makeup but its a great way to prep skin when the weather does change you need to mend sun damaged skin and stressed skin. Its highly moisturising and has an antioxidant effect against free radical damage, helps stimulate the skin and production of collagen.

Bronzer is definitely one of those essential items in winter especially when I get a little pastey. Its an easy way to lift the complexion and give the illusion of sun kissed skin. The Avon Glow bronzing pearls are perfect to give that all over glow and won’t break the bank.

Winter time  means smokey eyes especially when I go out at night I like to be a bit more bold with my look especially if I am not so tanned. I love the Chanel eye palettes because they literally have every colour for every season. The Les 4 Ombres quad Tisse Camelia is perfect for day and night there is a lighter shade that is a mix of grey and and purple that you can just wash over the lids for the day and then the deep purple shade to create the smokey look for night along the top and bottom lash lines.

Berry lips are really an all time favourite of mine and Mac just always get it right. Winter definitely calls for a darker lip especially with sun kissed skin and lots of mascara. Fashion Revival is a gorgeous deep matt berry lipstick perfect for that autumn/winter look.

Morgan Taylor Well Spent (R110) polish is definitely a new fav of mine, its a gorgeous deep berry/purple that looks absolutely amazing on and is a perfect colour for this time of year.

What’s your favourite product for autumn/winter?
