Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream

Body Shop are really on a roll at the moment when it comes to their makeup. They are bringing out some really amazing products and I have to say I am really impressed. Their latest addition is the Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream to help protect the complexion while giving coverage to the skin.

The Tea Tree range is ultimately for people that suffer from breakouts and oily skin. Tea Tree oil is natures alternative and is clinically proven to give clearer skin. The range has ingredients like Tamumu Oil Extract which helps generate new tissue and improve the healing process of the skin.

Although my skin as an adult isn’t too problematic I do have very senitive skin and do suffer from breakouts once in a while so when the BB cream landed on my desk I thought why not give it a try. I love BB creams in the fact that they are more than a tinted moisturiser while giving you coverage at the same time, and when I don’t want to wear to much makeup I always opt for a BB or CC cream because I feel my skin can breath.

The BB cream sadly only comes in 3 shades so sorry its not for all skin tones. I received the no 2 which is medium but its way to light for my skin so I went out and got no 3 so I could mix in a little of the darker shade to try get mine. The smell is definitely strong when you apply but after application you can’t smell the tea tree oil at all. It almost has a matt finish when you apply so make sure your skin is really hydrated unless you suffer from oily skin, but once applied to the skin it feels very soft and smooth. I have breakouts at the moment and Wwwhen I applied you can still see the spots cover so you will need to conceal aswell. What’s nice to know about the BB cream is that you know when your skin isn’t looking great that it will be helping your skin instead of blocking your pores.

All in all I like the Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream its just a shame that there are so few shades but the price is great retailing at R89.
