Anything Chanel launching I am always excited and when the delivery man comes with a box from Chanel my day has literally been made especially since the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation is finally here. If you don’t know anything about the Les Beiges line its all about healthy glowing skin which started out with powders and then some gorgeous bronzers and now the foundation is being added to the family. For those of you based in SA its heading your way on the 19th Feb so you better put that date in the diary if you want to go test this one out. There are 12 shades in the collection so hopefully there is one for you, it comes in a 30ml pump bottle and retails at R785.
So what did I think about the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation?
I personally really like it as you can see below its super natural looking but its totally evened out my complexion and my skin feels super soft which is what I am looking for in a foundation. Its got a pump so no wastage people and this is so important especially when you are splashing out that much cash on a foundation. Its got good coverage and with a couple of pumps you can get a medium coverage. Here I applied with my fingers for a more natural coverage but if you prefer a beauty blender or foundation brush then you can build up your coverage. When using a brush I like to go for a kabuki style brush as it doesn’t streak on application.
The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation is packed with hylaronic acid that helps moisturise throughout the day, light enhancement and optical illusions so your complexion looks flawless and healthy, UV25 so your skin is protected against the harsh rays and a healthy glow booster.
There probably won’t be a shade for everyone here and at the moment shade 60 is working for me as I have a tan but I may have to end up getting another shade to mix in but I haven’t seen all the shades yet so will keep you posted. For me applying with fingers is my preferred application over a brush as I find the product just melts in and looks really natural. I finished off the look with the healthy glow powder in 60 and worked as a bronzer applying under my cheek bones, along my forehead and down my neck to blend everything in. Its not as dewy as some of the foundations I wear but I like that its not shiney and gives my complexion and healthy look.
If you struggle with dry skin you may like this one but definitely work a hydrating primer so that it lasts longer and oily skin girls you will definitely need some powder to keep this one on your face.
