face masksFace masks are becoming more and more important in my beauty routine and my collection is slowly growing and showing no signs of stopping. Each mask does something a little different for me depending on how my skin is feeling and definitely how tired I am.

Why use face masks? Well no matter how much we cleanse and tone a face mask really draws out the impurities from beneath the top layers of the epidermis. They help exfoliate and remove dead skin and unclog pores so all your other products will actually work.

So here is my little list of some of the masks I am loving and yes I have covered budget too. Remember these aren’t for all skin types, I have combination skin plus I am in my late 30’s so these may not be for you:

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Peel and Reveal Revitalising Mask: This mask is perfect for when I need a boost and looking a bit tired. Its a combination of exfoliating and retexturing to brighten up the skin. Its a do it at home facial kind of product that you keep on for 15-20 minutes and then peel off to reveal soft and brighter looking skin. The great thing about this product is that its for all skin types and helps minimise pores. With ingredients such as Cabernet Grapeseed Extract a powerful antioxidant that brightens and protects, Botanical Complex a naturally derived alpha and beta hydroxy acids to calm, sooth and firm the skin and lastly Glycolic Acid which is a powferul yet gentle retexturiser that exfoliates and fortifies the skin.

Elizabeth Arden Visble Difference Hydration Boost Night Mask: I am pretty rubbish at drinking water and sometimes all I have had is caffeine which really isn’t great for my skin so I will opt for this mask at the end of my day. This mask is a moisture boost and intensely hydrates parched skin leaviung my skin feeling super soft and smooth. If you suffer from dry skin then you want to be getting your hands on this one or if you just feel tired and skin is looking dull its a great one. Key ingredients are Chamomile that calms and soothes skin, Ginko Bilboa Extract energises skin to leave a radiant glow, Kiwi Fuit Extract gently soothes skin and Vitamin A Palmitate helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and evens out skin tone.

Ren Radiance Renewal Mask: Love all things Ren especially because its all about clean skin care. This mask is another one for me to add some radiance to my skin. Its a bio active peel that helps renew my complexion and help improve skin tone. This mask helps remove dead skin cells, leave skin brighter and more radiant and helps combat congestion, blackheads and blemishes. The Bio extracts in the mask such as natural fruit acids combined of passion fruit, lemon, grape and pineapple, and Papain from Papaya exfoliates the outer layer of the skin encouraging cell turnover.

Sampar So Much To Dew Midnight Mask: This mask is one that you apply at night and then wash off in the morning. Its really light and is applied with a brush all over the face, and not only replenishes skin but soaks up extra moisturisation through the night so by the time you wake up my skin feels amazing. The mask is a uniquely concentrated skincare that perfectly mimics the skin’s origional hydrating film. Starting from the night this mask soaks in the freshness leaving you with plumped, smooth skin by the morning and hopefully a little younger. Suitable for all skin types.

Dirty Works Moisture Mask: A great budget mask to bring back some moisture and radiance to your face. Packed with ingredients like Rose and Vitamin E as well as hylaruronic acid which exists naturally in the skin to retain water, as we get older like me (38) these levels fall and sadly the wrinkles appear. You can apply this one up you 2 times a week, it smells amazing and applies into a creamy formua, after washing off skin feels so smooth and brighter.

Lush Ayesha Fresh Face Mask: If you are into all things natural then the Lush brand is for you. They have 4 different masks but I went for this one as its all about giving fresh looking skin. The face mask is all natural so you keep it in the fridge to keep it fresh and lasts up to a month. A few of the models I work with raved about the masks so I was very intrigued and of course wanted to try out. The Ayesha mask is a tightening absorbent clay when you apply to the skin you can feel it tighten, enriched with asparagus, vitamin rich fresh kiwi, elderflower and witchazel these leaves skin refreshed and super smooth. Amazing for all skin types especially if you need to give more radiance to your complexion and great for any age.

So if you aren’t using face masks in your weekly beauty routine you need to start!
