Since reorganising the “makeup room” where all my pro kit lives plus all the products I get to review I have rediscovered a couple of little Mac beauties the Pearl and Shell Cream Colour Bases. There is nothing better than finding products you temporarily forgot about that you love and you can play with all over again.
The Shell Cream Colour Base is a more soft beige with a shimmer that can be used as a highlighter for the more medium skin tone, layered onto the lid over a shadow to give that amazing shimmery pop or just onto the lids with a touch of eight hour cream to give that high shine gloss and even add a pop over a nude lipstick to add an amazing extra dimensional effect.
The Pearl Cream Colour Base is amazing for the fairer skin tones as its a pale gold with an icy shimmer and is an incredible highlighter than can be layered onto the skin then foundation applied over, and then reapplied so that the highlighter really comes through. Or apply to the inner corner of the eyes to really give that wide awake look. My favourite with these kind of highlighters is to really emphasise the cupids bow.
Remember when you are highlighting the key areas are on top of the cheek bone, cupids bow, the bridge of the nose, inner corner of the eyes and the brow bone.
These bad boy highlighters can be applied with either fingers, a sponge or a brush depending on the effect you want to get so either a subtle shimmer or a very dramatic highlighted look especially if you are a pro makeup artist.
Have you rediscovered anything that you love?
