May Favourites

I can’t quite believe that another month is almost at its end and we are almost half way through 2014 so its time to share my May essentials and basicaly what I have been loving this month:

Lee Stafford Aragan Oil Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner with Pro Argan Complex: This brand is new to South Africa but not new to me coming from London. I bought this combo at the beginning of the month and I am loving it plus I am loving the price too. The pro argan complex gently cleanses the hair whilst restoring its natural balance to leave smooth and silky hair. Perfect for dry hair and perfect for me as I style my hair with a blow dryer and I need all the moisture I can get.

Lee Stafford Aragan Oil Morocco Nourishing Miracle Oil: I find a lot of the time using a conditioner isn’t enough for me. I bought the oil with the shampoo and conditioner combo, and even though it looks like a small bottle a small amount goes a long way. All you need is 3 pumps and apply from mid length to the ends of your wet hair. The Aragan Oil is the raw material extracted from inside a nut that only grows in Morocco containing ingredients that is associated with repairing hair. Love it and my hair feels amazing.

Redken Powder Grip: I love hair products that give some guts to the hair, help with volume and make it easier to tease. The Redken mattifying powder is great to dust into the roots to create volume and tease, you can dust into the hair and work it so that its easier to do up do’s and work in texture for a fishtail plait. I also love to apply to the hair to create body by sprinkling at mid lenth and then work the hair with your fingers pulling outwards and voila bigger hair. I have been reaching for it all month especially on shoots and it came it pretty handy for my Fairlady Bridal shoots with the 5 hair changes!

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multicolour Powder: I have already featured the Healthy Glow but its definitely in this months essentials. I have been using it pretty much every day to give my skin the lift it needs. Sadly my tan is fading and my face is getting paler, this powder is beautiful for contouring and bronzing up the face but still looks natural and beautiful.

Makeup Forever HD Foundation:I have had this foundation for ages I got it in London but ladies in SA its available in Joburg and online. I first heard Lisa Eldridge share it was one of her top foundations as for me I want to hear from someone who is working with it professionally before I buy and its Lisa so whatever she says right? Its a beautiful foundation with a flawless finish, I was wearing it the other night and one of the girls said I looked like I was in my 20’s that made my night. I have started wearing it this month and I find out of all my current foundations I keep reaching for this one. Skin looks really natural and dewy but not shiny, the foundation was created with digital imagery in mind so it looks great in front of the camera.

Gosh Growth Mascara: Gosh are bringing out a whole load of new makeup and this mascara caught my eye straight away because it says the Secret of Longer Lashes and with my sad lashes I am always looking for a great mascara. The applicator really grips onto the lashes coating them beautifully and really does give the appearance of longer and fuller looking lashes. I am not going to be letting this one go in a hurry it will definitely stay in my private stash I don’t think I want to share with the models.

Maybelline The Collosal Kajal Liner in Black: The latest addition to the Maybelline family I have literally only started using this but it needed a place in my essentials list. The liner glides on so easily making application very easy to create the winged look or create a smokey eye you can go crazy with his one.
