Ah how I love my weekends and how I suddenly totaly slow down my pace and want to lounge around, hang with friends and my beautiful family of course and although makeup will always be important to me, on the weekend its way more chilled in the day. I really don’t have the energy to do a whole makeup routine, especially now the sun has come back out I want the minimal amount on my face with a touch of mascara. So here is my weekend makeup menu:
I start by prepping my face with my normal beauty routine that I never slack on especially now that I will be 38 at the end of this month, I am literally in tears about that. There are new editions to the routine which really helps my skin look fresh and act as a great way to prep my skin before I apply any make is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I spritz this bad boy on face and then gently press into my skin, it helps soothes the skin and just leave a beautiful glow. For coverage I have been using my latest UK beauty haul product Perfect Look Miracle Skin by thisworks, its an instant tinted perfector that leaves a very natural finish but with some colour to my skin, plus my skin feels so smooth after. If I am going out somewhere fancy I will pop on a touch of foundation but literally the tinest amount to even out skin my current favourite is the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Nude Foundation as my skin looks so natural. Of course I can’t leave home without concealer but I vary it up, at the moment I am loving the Clarins Instant Concealer so I pop that under my eyes and lightly blend in with my ring finger and voila I look like I have had 10 hours sleep!
For the healthy glow and extra touch of colour its normally a bronzer I reach for I literally don’t live without bronzer all year round its great when you are pale and its great when you want to enhance your tan. I love the Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Natural because they look natural and are really lightweight and just give a beautiful finish. I take a bronzer or angle brush and apply in all the areas where the sun would hit you know the drill by now. For the cheeks there is nothing like one of the Benefit stains on the cheek for a natural glow.
Curl the lashes with my trusty Shu Umera Lash Curler and add a pop of mascara because I have the worst lashes and for me to look like I am awake I literally never leave the house without mascara on even if i don’t put anything else on. The current mascara I am using is the Maxfactor False Lash Effect but that changes all the time.
So there you have my weekend makeup. How do you wear yours?
