This is one of those rare times that I actually chat about fragrances because if you follow me you will know I am not a great fan of perfume. I can appreciate when a fragrance smells good but I am super sensitive when it comes to smells that most of the time its just too over powering for me. However these two landed on my desk the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Nectarine Blossom and the Body Shop Kahaia White Flora I decided to write a post as they are both perfect speing fragrances.
Loving the looks from London Fashion Week SS17 its all about gorgeous skin that's either sunkissed or super fresh. Pops of colour are definitely in but looks that are actually really wearable. Bright matt lips are back in a big way, kohl liner is definitely the in thing right now and pinks, purple's are green's are seen on the eyes.
Its that time of year where I have to update my makeup bag and swap out some items and add in some new ones. The weather is definitely changing in Cape Town with a lot more warmer days coming our way in October. I definitely need to be thinking about long wearing products that can handle the heat and a face mist that can keep my skin hydrated and my skin looking fresh. So here is what is in my spring/summer makeup bag:
The TRESemme Beauty Full Volume Reverse System landed on my desk a while ago and I have been busy testing to see how my hair responds to the products. Its the first time I have tried a system where I condition my hair before I shampoo. I was a bit sceptical at first but I found my hair to feel a lot lighter. The Reverse system is all about full volume hair that has amazing bounce so when it comes to styling its a piece of cake.
With spring finally here in Cape Town its time to switch up your makeup and start playing with colours. In this tutorial I play with fresh orange/peach shades to boost your complexion. Its really quick and easy and just looks really pretty. I hope you enjoy my fresh summer makeup tutorial:
Last week I was invited by Ray from Raydiance Skin based in the Medispa on Kloof Street for a specialised facial which was serioulsy amazing. Gone are the days of your normal facial of just rubbing your face with a whole load of products. Now its all about frequencies and electric currents that comes from a fabulous machine called the Ionzyme from Environ. Ray told me the machine has been around a while but its been revamped so even more effective than it was before. Personally I was just happy to be looking like a glowing goddess by the end of the 90 minutes.
The Body Shop are launching a whole load of new products from makeup to skincare and I have to say I am loving their new face masks that landed on my desk. I got my hands on these two the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask and the Ethopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask. I gave both a go to see whaich was my favourite and wanted to share with my readers how great they both are. But I am swaying towards the Body Shop Ethopian Honey right now.
I was asked by Fashion and Beauty editor for Women 24 asked me how to create the mermaid eye trend that seems to be a big beauty trend for SS16/17. The mermaid eye seems to be a makeup look that is taking over fashion week and the red carpet especially in shades of blue. Blue eyeshadow in all shades is a massive trend right now so even if this look isn't for you get hold of a blue eyeshadow that's for you and go for it.
Its that time of year that we need to change our makeup and start adding pops of colour. We are now in spring in SA and its all about pops of color on your eyes and lips. In this video I chat about the makeup trends from the Mac trend book for SS16 and decided on a pop of colour on the eyes but something that is really wearable. This video is the first of my SS16 makeup tutorials that will be coming your way.
