Beauty shopping is finally becoming easier and easier in SA. I am all about shopping beauty online its the culture in UK so its been a big struggle that lots of products just aren't accessible. Woolworths is one of those stores that makes everything easy with not only their own brand but a whole range of brands. Some of my favourite brands like are available in the Woolworths beauty department like Smashbox, Stila, Elizabeth Arden and Ren are available online.
I never realised that there were so many amazing beauty brands available in SA. I literally came across an instagram account called Makeupbowtique and realised that so many of the brands I love are available here. I have been ordering through friends and then waiting to get my products so happy days when I realised there are a few people Joburg based that have eveything I want. If you are a lover of makeup like me and are desperate to get your hands on Anastatia Beverely Hills, Tarte, Huda beauty, Morphe brushes and more. Its finally all available here without all the awful duties we normally get hit with.
Its been a while since I have actually sat down and watched other youtubers and makeup video's. But I find that in the past month I have been catching up on some video's and new brands that I had never tested out before. There are times we all need a little inpisration for makeup and even what tutorial I should shoot next. It also helps me see how video's are shot and how I can really improve mine. So here are a few beauty youtubers that I am loving:
Introducing the Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Ageing Foundation that is brand new to the Prevage family. The Prevage range is kmon for its high end skincare. So its exciting that they have now added a foundation to the range. It landed on my desk last week with a new serum and moisturiser so a total spoil. I was very excited to try the foundation and yesterday was the first opportunity I got to test it. Anything anti-ageing is always winner for me as I am trying everything to make sure that my skin stays as youthful as possible.
Last week I shared my look from the Pink Polo using my new Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette. I decided to film a tutorial to show you how to achieve the look but also to chat about the gorgeous palette. I decided to go all out with the pink its definitely not an every day look but perfect for an event or on a night out. I am absolutely loving the palette with a combination of matt and pigment shades that have a foil effect. I will definitely be filming more looks with the palette so watch this space.
I was one of 6 women chosen in South Africa by La Mer to take part in testing out their new Miscellar water. As well as their gorgeous soft fluid foundation. The women chosen were a combination of fashion editors, photographers, bloggers and me the makeup artist. I was asked to test out the foundation and then chat about my thoughts and how I liked it. Luckily I love it and if you have been following my blog and watching my video's I have been using it a lot.
With the festive season fast approaching its time to start thinking about your makeup. I wanted to share my bold party lip look as its so easy to do yourself. This look is a great alternative to a smokey or glittery eye and is just as effective. A bold lip is a perfect way to make statement with your makeup and stand out in the crowd. I am all about the bold lips and for me the best way to brighten up my complexion and really feel good is to wear something bright on my lips.
I was so excited to test out the new Lancome L'Absolu Rouge lipsticks. As they have been reinvented by one of my favourite makeup artists the lovely Lisa Eldridge who is the Creative Director for the brand. Lisa is one of those artists that if its good enough for her then it will be good enough for me. The new lipsticks come in beautiful packaging that you just click and voila the lippie pops out. With literally each shade represented to suit every skin tone. Plus two different textures cream and matte so that there is something here for everyone.
With Christmas literally around the corner its got me thinking what I am wishing for. Its definitely a show kind of time that everything I want is either a sandal or some cool trainers. Superbalist is that one stop shop that makes it so easy and I am lusting after some of their sandals. My husband has already been given an early request list with some of the addidas trainers. However after doing a big over haul of my wadrobe I somehow feel I need some more sandals. With it being almost summer and lovely sunny days every day I need some new foot wear I think. So here is my Superbalist sandals lust list:
I started organising with my pro kit which has now rolled out to my vanity table. I can be a little disorganised at times with makeup in my handbags, bathroom and office and am always looking for what I need. After cutting all my lipsticks I kept what I needed for myself so that I don't have to rummage through my kit anymore and find the right shade. This month is all about getting organised and making my life clutter free even down to my wardrobe. I am focusing on organising my vanity table with all my personal makeup and makeup brushes are in one place.
