The Tamara Cherie Sequin Top
A while back I did hair and makeup for local SA designer Tamara Cherie for her SS17/18 collection. Its definitely her best collection yet with gorgeous colours and materials and a whole lot of sequin. Of course being the shopaholic and absolutely love fasion I had to buy a few pieces from the collection. Now I am one of those people that needs a lot of tops for all occasions. I think I have lots count on how mant I have but you need for all occassions whether casual or dressy. What I love about Tamara's collection is you can mix it up and either be really smart or dress it down with a pair of jeans or denim skirt. Click here to see her latest range.
The Latest Chanel Rouge Allure Lipsticks
This week is definitely a red lip kind of week with all these lovely products landing on my desk to test out. I shot for Glamour Magazine for their January main fashion editorial and the theme Studio 54. Each girl had a different look to make them all individual. For Fran I went gold eyes and a bold red lip using one of the gorgeous new Chanel Rouge Allure lipsticks. Red is one of those colours that will always be on trend and makes everything look chic, pretty and so out together. Plus what's a studio 56 look without lipstick and a bit of Chanel???

The Trend Ombre Lip using Rimmel Stay Matte
If you don't follow fashion week the ombre red lip is a beautiful trend that I just had to try out on my beauty story. The lip was seen in the Helmut Lang NYFW SS18 show and it caught my eye staright away. I love the simlicity of the look with the dark and the bright red. For this look I combined the two lip colours from the new Rimmel Stay Matte collection. These bad boys landed on my desk lask week and I out them to the test on the model and on myself. You'll be happy to know they have a great colour pay off, super comfortable and also kiss proof.
The Gorgeous Filorga Oil-Absolute
The new Filorga Oil-Absolute literally just landed on my desk and I just couldn't wait to share. I am a massive lover of facial oils so couldn't wait to try. For my shoot for UK sports brand Lucas Hugh my model needed a little hydration so this was the perfect opportunity to out it to the test. Its the perfect solution for exhausted skin that needs that extra love. What I love is that its not super oily like some facial oils, it literally melts into the skin making it look so beautiful. The Oil-Absolute is the first oil serum that's a six-in-one that reactivates the skin and corrects all the signs of anti-ageing:
Balmain Hair Products Launches in SA
If you haven't heard the Balmian Hair Products have landed in SA with Glamit!!! Balmain one of the origional couture houses has launched its amazing hair care range and its just amazing. The brand has combined 40 years of backstage experience with runway trends and brings a range that truly works and is packaged so beautifully. I attended the launch last week to see some of the products in action. But as well as amazing hair products they also have hair tools that make everything else look like amateur hour. What I love about the brand is that it really has taken into account all hair types and really has a great range for ethnic hair so that you can get your curls straight and smooth in half an hour!!!
The Print Dress Ready For Summer
The print dress for every day wear seems to be my standard uniform these days. Its actually become of a bit of an obsession as I literally have about 30 different print dresses. As I have gotten older I ctend to over up the top part and show a little more leg even though my knees are knobbly. I think its key to have dresses that really work for you and that you can wear day or night. This dress I could pear it with a heel and pump up my makeup and I could do dinner, drinks or dancing.
The Nimue 12 Week Challenge
Last week I started my Nimue 12 Week Challenge in the hope that after the 12 weeks I will see a massive change. The program promises that after 12 weeks of using the selected products day and night plus 4 facials I won't have to wear any makeup. Now this is really a big promise as I never leave home without a bit of base. My skin comes under the classification as hyperpigmented. I have pigmentation from my pregnancies plus lots of freckles and sun spots. I also get dehydrated and have a tendancy to breakout on my chin area. The challenge costs R6000 (real value R7200) to take part although lucky for me I get to take part for free and report back to all my followers.
