A Little Touch of Colour Makeup Look
I spend so much time doing makeup on shoots thats super clean with a glowing complexion. Its got me a little obsessed with colour. So in this post I chat about a few of my fav products and show a little touch of colour makeup look. Whether its a wash of eyeshadow on your eye lid, a colour liner or a mascara its so easy to add a little something to your makeup look. Brands like NYX, Mac and Stila have it down when it comes to colours to play with.
In this post I feature NYX for the eyes with the Love You So Mochi Eyeshadow Palette in Elecpas. Its a super fun palette that has some pretty bright shades to play around with. I kept it simple and opted for a lighter orange shade into the crease of my eye. These kind of colours really suit my skin tone and make my eye colour pop.
For the inner corner of my eyes I went with the champagne shade to give that extra pop using a pencil brush for more precision.
For the water line I popped in a touch of blue liner the NYX Shimmer Eye Pencil in Sky Shimmer. I was just playing around to see what the liner would look likw with the eyeshadow. If you want you can just add the colour liner in your waterline or just along the top lash line. NYX have a whole array of colour liners to play around with and for R74.95 you really aren’t breaking the bank.
For the lashes I used the new Benefit Roller Mascara to give some gorgeous volume to my super sad lashes.
I am all about the glowing skin and again there are so many amazing drugstore options. Here I am using my Kat Von D Metallic Palette because it gives some serious glow. When I am going with a more summery look I like to amp up my highlighter. This palette gives just that.
I kept the rest of my base dewy and then added a pop of colour to my lips but gave a more of a stain feel. Here I went with one of the new Almay Lip Vibes in Smile to keep the whole look summery and fresh. There is a whole selection of the lipsticks that come in super cool packaging so def worth checking out.
Et voila a pretty simple look with some colour. Play around with your makeup and see what works for you. Whether its the eyes or lips colour makes everything seem brighter and more fresh.
Adding a pop of colour liner on the top lid is also a great way to embrace some colour into your life. One of my favs is the NYX Vivid Brights in Vivid Sapphine paired with the Mac blue mascara hold for 10 you really make the eyes pop. Or you can add a touch of liner on the outer edge of the eye to the centre of the lid like you see here with the Mac green liner.
