About Me

I am a born and bred London girl living and working in Cape Town as a Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist, wife and mother of 2. My obsession with makeup came when I fell pregnant with my first child. I always loved makeup, but never considered it as a career. I fell in love instantly and that is how it all began.

After training in makeup in Cape Town but predominately in London at the Jemma Kidd Makeup School I trained with an amazing teacher that taught me how to create beautiful dewy flawless skin, the power of contouring and highlighting and how to break down every makeup look step by step.

I love how makeup transforms the face and how you can use a product such as a pigment for the eye and apply to the lips for an extra dimension. Makeup is all about experimenting and altering how you look whether it be subtle or extreme. With makeup came hair as I realised it was key to do both.

I have been extremely lucky so far with my work and in a short time have been very lucky to shoot with very talented photographers and shoot for Elle SA, Marie Claire SA, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, as well as, local brands, and shooting a Revlon beauty campaign.

I created the blog Shahnaz Loves Beauty to share key trends, how to create looks, video tutorials and products I love. So many women struggle with makeup and hair, what products to use and how to do their makeup. I hope my blog is a help and inspires to get creative and try out some of my looks.

    Hi Shahnaz 🙂

Ive been an avid follower of your blog for such a long time. I love your honest approach and the varying range of topics that you discuss.

However, today I have a bit of an embarrassing thing to ask of you…

I have two Autistic children, who both go to private speech and occupation therapies each week. This costs A LOT of money…

So I have kind of put my needs and love of all things make up and beauty on the back burner for quite a while.

The point im getting at or the question im actually wanting to ask you is this: if perhaps you have any products at all that you don’t use, or used and don’t like etc, I was wondering if possible if you could maybe give them to me…or maybe sell them to me a discounted rate? Our complexions are pretty similar.

I feel really down having to ask this, but you seem like such an open and kind person from your blogs, I thought id just put my pride aside and ask anyway…

If not that’s ok too. I will still follow your blog religiously like I always do.

    Keep well. xx
