Its definitely a week of trends for me so with that in mind I am continuing this week’s theme on the makeup trends and this time sharing looks that you can try at home for autumn/winter which is almost upon us. A lot of the time we stick to a makeup look and never really venture away from it but here are some pretty looks that can transform your whole look.

Whether its focusing on your eye’s, lips or both here are some pretty makeup looks that are simple to re-create. The dark red lip is pretty just on its own and Maybelline have some gorgeous matt lipsticks coming out that would look perfect for this look. For the eyes take a gel liner and an angle brush or a pencil like the Smashbox always sharp eyeliners to create your shape:

Maybelline MattThe silver shimmer eyes and matt berry lip are perfect for a night out the easiest way to create the look is to take a cream eyeshadow and apply across the lids Mac have a perfect grey paint pot called Dangerous Cuvee, if you want the high shine add a touch of 8hr cream to the centre of the lids. For the lips take a dark berry lipstick and apply with your fingers to create the stained effect and use a dark berry lip liner to create the definition on the bow of the lips.

The liner look on the top lash line and the top and bottom waterline is just a really cool look as it makes the colour of the eyes really pop. Go for a longer wearing liner or a waterproof liner the Bobbi Brown perfectly defined gel eyeliner this one is perfect for this look and will last you the distance and keep skin fresh with a foundation like Mac Mineralise moisture.

Last up and probably the easiest look to create is the smudged liner look, go for a colours like chocolate, navy, black or deep purple apply to the top lash line and blend with your favourite blending brush to give that slept in look and then go back along the lash line to create the definition. I love the Smashbox always sharp eye pencils as they are waterproof so once you apply they ain’t budging.

Have fun experimenting.
