If you didn’t catch the look from this years Prada SS16 show Pat Macgrath legend of all legend makeup artists created this cool lip using her amazing Gold 001 a gold pigment from her hotly anticipated new makeup line that will be launching later in 2016. I was busy researching yesterday on Vogue.co.uk and came across the launch of the pigment but only 1000 would be sold this year at $40 so of course I had to get my hands on mine. Luckily I was successful so I will have to wait to get it but for all you makeup artists and makeup lovers you will be so excited to see what Gold 001 is all about.
Sadly only a certain amount could be produced that’s why only a limited amount of the Gold 001 went on sale not because she was being selective but Pat Macgrath couldn’t wait for people to get their hands on the product and get busy playing.
Gold 001 is a multi dimensional microfine pigment that literally can be used to create so many looks and used any where on the face and on the body. Seriously a makeup artists dream! Pat Macgrath created the gold pigments so as to break the rule’s when it comes to makeup and for makeup artists to get innovative by creating gild lids, electrifying brows and lips and it can even be buffed into the skin to create luminosity. To say I am excited to get my hands on the Gold 001 is an understatement. As well as the pigment a spatula, mehron mixing liquid and container to store the pigment.
Pat Macgarth tells us:
“Use a brush dampened with mixing liquid to optimize application of pigment. Experiment with the amount of liquid to create different effects, from an intense molten gleam to a sheer golden shimmer. Layer pigment over a primer for intense, long-lasting results. Dig in and play fearlessly.”
Pat macgarth tested out her amazing new pigment on a series of models to show how creating you can get with the product and literally create endless looks.
Love Love Love. Can’t wait to try and can’t wait to see what Pat Macgrath Labs brings us next year for her makeup line. If its anything like the Gold 001 pigment then we are in for a real treat.
