Blush is key in really finishing off a look and if you not keen on wearing much make up then you can pretty it up with your blush. But how to apply and with what brushes? Plus there are so many out there from cheap to expensive so which what to choose and what texture?
If you going for a more natural look then opt for a cream blush you can either apply with your fingers onto the apples of your cheeks or with a stippling brush which is so easy to use all you need to do is press the product onto the cheek.
With a powder blush you can apply a little or a lot depending on your skin tone and what look you going for. Remember if you doing a shoot you will have to apply more for it to show up on camera. Invest in a blush brush so that you can apply your blush properly. Remember when applying dust off any excess onto the back of your hand to make sure you don’t apply too much in the first go you can always build up. Don’t smile when applying because as we get older our face starts to sag and if you apply when smiling and then relax your face you blush will be by your mouth!!!
I am a big fan of Mac Blush as they really are beautiful when applied to the skin and they have all textures in my palette I have more neutral shades, pink shades and deeper shades for the darker skin girls. Mac are now selling on line in SA so go check out www.maccosmetics.co.za.
For a pretty bronzey blush try the new Michael Kors blushes perfect for a healthy glow available at selected Stuttafords. Check out my Michael Kors beauty launch post to find out more about the collection. This blush is from the Sexy collection and is a beautiful rosey shade. I am applying with a blush brush on the apples of my cheeks and then sweeping upwards.
Cream blushes are a perfect texture to create that healthy natural glow. The Chanel blush is part of their Spring 14 collection and launches end of Jan 14. Apply this blush with a stippling brush like you see in the picture. You don’t have to go for Chanel but I just love the texture and the shade. Perfect with a clean face and lots of mascara.
I absoloutely love the Dior blush and the texture and there is nothing prettier than a peachy blush to give a healthy flush to the skin. Its a big trend to have rosey cheeks and a flawless face paired with a nude lip and lots of highlighter.
Hope you enjoyed my post. x
