I have recently started sharing some behind the scenes pics so you can see what I am getting up to when I am not blogging. My first love is makeup and that is what inspired my blog in the first place. Without me doing what I do I wouldn’t have the first hand knowledge to share with you all. So here are some behind the scenes pics from my Elle Style for Less shoot where the makeup was 60’s inspired:
The vibe for the shoot was a modern day muse with a 60’s inspired makeup. So skin needed to be flawless and look really fresh with a hint of contouring and highlighting. The main focus was on the eyes for the 60’s vibe. There are a few ways to do the 60’s makeup, I wanted to accentuate Gina’s big eyes so I applied a set of Eyelure bottom lashes and on the top lash line I applied my trusty Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack. But rather than the big feline flick I opted for the thin line and applied a taupe shadow into the crease and a pearl shimmer shade on the lid. Lips were kept nude with a nude liner and nude lipstick to keep it really modern and fresh.
The published story comes out in June in the Elle SA July issue. Will be posting pics so you can see the full story.
