If like me you have a busy life filled with work and kids then what you really need is a quick 5 minute makeup look. The key thing for me is good glowing skin with a little somerthing on the eyes and lips. I am looking for no fuss but I want to feel like I look good and of course glowing. Sometimes I don't even bother with liner if I am off on a shoot. However, there are times I need a quick look that looks like I have made an effort but really it didn't take much effort at all. In this post I have a few items that really make me glow and look polished.
There are so many gorgeous drugstore products that I have either purchased or have been sent to me for review. So I decided why not film a drugstore makeup tutorial featuring a gorgeous bronze/chocolate smokey eye paired with a red lip. I also tried to focus on beautiful looking skin. I wanted to create an easy to do look with the beautiful Catrice Antique C'est Tres Chic eyeshadow palette and pair with a red lip. If you haven't cheked out the new Mark by Avon makeup range its definitely want to look at. Love the packaging and love what I have tried out so far.
On the weekend I attended the lovely event that is the Queens Plate. The theme is always blue and white so I decided to match my makeup to my dress this year. Rather than do a normal tutorial this video is kind of like a get ready with me. I already styled my hair with a textured up do and in the video I do a simple look that really compliments my H&M dress. I decided to do a voice over and try something new as its just easier to get on with applying makeup.
Last week I shared my look from the Pink Polo using my new Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette. I decided to film a tutorial to show you how to achieve the look but also to chat about the gorgeous palette. I decided to go all out with the pink its definitely not an every day look but perfect for an event or on a night out. I am absolutely loving the palette with a combination of matt and pigment shades that have a foil effect. I will definitely be filming more looks with the palette so watch this space.
Urban Decay just get it right when it comes to palette's and this one is a beauty. The Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette is an all matte palette that landed on my desk last week. It has 12 gorgeous shades that are perfect from day to night with my favourite shades being Extra Bitter and Lethal but also Magnet for a gorgeous subtle grey smokey eye. The palette launched in SA last week Friday so I decided to film a tutorial while reviewing it at the same time.
With the change of season I wanted to do a sunkissed makeup tutorial. Featuring a beachy chocolate shimmer eye and bronzed gorgeous skin. Its all about bronzing up the skin so that you look sunkissed and super healthy. The Clarins waterproof eyeshadows from their new summer collection are amazing. As mentioned you can apply by themselves or over a powder eyeshadow to create that perfect eye.
Festival season is around the corner with Rocking The Daisies starting this week. Its time to start thinking about your makeup. I decided to film a festival makeup tutorial to help inspire some of you. As glitter is such a big trend right now for SS16 its a perfect way to make your makeup fun and fresh. In this video I play around with the Urban Decay Glitter liners and a bold matt purple lip.
With spring finally here in Cape Town its time to switch up your makeup and start playing with colours. In this tutorial I play with fresh orange/peach shades to boost your complexion. Its really quick and easy and just looks really pretty. I hope you enjoy my fresh summer makeup tutorial:
Its that time of year that we need to change our makeup and start adding pops of colour. We are now in spring in SA and its all about pops of color on your eyes and lips. In this video I chat about the makeup trends from the Mac trend book for SS16 and decided on a pop of colour on the eyes but something that is really wearable. This video is the first of my SS16 makeup tutorials that will be coming your way.
