This video we filmed while I was on set shooting a skin beauty story so you get to see me in action too. Its a natural makeup + faux freckles makeup tutorial that focuses on glowing skin. I love a fake freckle to add that extra dimension to the skin and enhance that natural beauty. I have filmed a series of these videos with me on set all focusing on the skin and the glow. To me there is nothing more beautiful than amazing looking skin. With the right skincare and makeup products is so easy to achieve. Make sure you prep your skin properly and everything will just fall into place.

In this video I play around with some of the new Chanel makeup to create a really easy every day makeup look. This video is the Chanel Cruise Collection Makeup Tutorial where skin looks sunkissed with this pretty shimmery eye. The collection includes my favourite healthy Glow Les Beiges powder (R900) that is perfect to create that bronzed look all year round. Its a beautiful collection that you can take your makeup look from day to night.
So this video I try out the Smashbox Cover Shot Palette in Smokey to create a dramatic eye. Its seriously bold with shades of emarald green, silver, black and maroon. Definitely not a look I normally do but really wanted to show you how it looks. The best way to work the palette in my opinion is to wet the bold colours to prevent any fall out. Plus do your foundation after so its easy to clean in case you make a mess. There are 7 palette’s in the Cover Shot collection this is definitely one of the boldest ones.
The Smashbox Shape Matters Palette has been on my radar for quite some time. I was going between should I invest or not but the new PR manager for Smashbox took the decision out of my hands and sent me one to review. Its a 3 in 1 palette that’s perfect if you are looking for a one stop shop. The palette consists of a brow set, contouring and highlighting shades plus 9 eyeshadow shadows. Its a perfect palette if you looking to take your makeup from day to night. Plus it comes with a double sided brush for brows and the eyeshadow so you can touch up at the office. In this tutorial I created a really easy look that’s perfect for work or even a date. Its a look you cas definitely rock either day or night with a hint of pink to keep it summery.
This look was inspired by a makeup look I saw on instagram. Its a bold summer look with pops of colour on the eyes and lips. I wanted to film something different and am so happy with the end result. Its a perfect look for a night out or a festival vibe. This video is a bright bold summer makeup tutorial with a touch of bronze paired with an emerald green liner. You don’t have to go totally crazy if its too bold for you so a nude lip could also work or no liner. Its totally different to what I would usualy go for but I really love it.
After sharing how much I love my Morphe palettes I decided to shoot a tutorial featuring one of them. This video is a bold purple eye makeup tutorial using the palette 35P. I saw a look on instagram a week or so ago with a similar shade so thought why not. Its perfect for a party look, a festival or even a night out on the town. The purples totally compliment my brown eyes if I must say so myself.
Its been a while since I have actually sat down and watched other youtubers and makeup video’s. But I find that in the past month I have been catching up on some video’s and new brands that I had never tested out before. There are times we all need a little inpisration for makeup and even what tutorial I should shoot next. It also helps me see how video’s are shot and how I can really improve mine. So here are a few beauty youtubers that I am loving:
In this glowing skin makeup tutorial I wanted to show how important skincare is when it comes to achieving a glowing complexion. Without a good skincare routine makeup will never look dewy so its key you exfoliate, apply masks and the rest. I chat about a great hydsrating masks, facial oils and basically layer up that skincare before I even get to the makeup part. This look is perfect for those of you who don’t like to wear loads of makeup but want to look heathy. Its also a great look for day time as its super fresh and polished.
Since this look was seen on the red carpet ond on fashion week its literally become the next big thing. The mermaid eye makeup look is a combination of blue’s and green’s that really quite dramatic but also so pretty. I filmed this video with one of my BFF’s Afareen. To create the look I used a combination of navy blue and turquoise blue. These shades of blue look so pretty on Afareen and its perfect for a night out on the town.
The gorgeous Chanel Rouge Allure Ink red lipsticks have landed in SA and are in stores now. I decided to shoot a video with me chatting about these beauties and create a tutorial as well. Red lipstick will aleays be a trend and so classic and there are so many ways to wear a red lip. In this video I decided to create a a chocolate/gold eye that matches the lipstick perfectly for a night out on the town. I didn’t realise through filming some how I had managed to get red lipstick on my nose which made me laugh and I decided to not re film and publish anyway.
