The latest collection from Chanel that launches this month is inspired by the Mediterranean and South of France, with blue skies, glistening seas and bright summer colours that are close to nature, the Chanel Summer 2015 makeup collection has vibrant bold colours more so than any of the other previous collections.
I got to play around with a few items, I absoloutely love the Rouge Coco shine lippies they glide on beautifiully and have a gorgeous shine that isn’t too much. I am wearing Insoumise in the pic below its a coral red which is the brightest shade in the collection but looks amazing on as it lifts my complexion making everything seem fresher and warmer. There are 4 lip shades in the collection (R505) with beautiful nudes and a pretty pink. As well as the lippies there are 2 lip glosses (R420) in the collection a pink and red shade that are pefect for lifting the complexion with a high shine that really makes you think of summer.
The Stylo eyeshadow fresh effect sticks (R365) are perfect for summer with some bold colours in the collection, I got the Azzulejo the blue shade which is pefect for adding a pop of colour into the inner corners of the eye its a bit too bright for me but would look amazing on a more tanned complexion. The deeper shades can be worked over the lid up to the crease of the eye in a single sweep or just along the lash line. The pens have a creamy texture and a perfect to pop into your bag and apply when ever needed.
Sadly I didn’t get to play around with the limited edition exclusive creation lumiere d’ete (R870) which is a gorgeous flower shimmer bronze powder that reflects all that summer represents. The illuminating powder is meant to be swept all over the face, along the cheek bones and into your neck to give the illusion of sun kissed skin that shimmers in the light.
There are 4 polishes in the collection (R355) the brown shimmer shade is the only one that is limited edition, the other 3 are bold bright colours no 717 is definitely my favourite shade purely because I always gravitate to red’s and there is nothing nicer than a red polish on tanned or paler skin. I got the Mediterranee shade a bold blue that would be perfect for toes its too bright to put on my fingers and the deep purple shade Lavanda would look amazing on darker skin tones.
The Chanel Summer 2015 makeup collection hit stores on the 18th May so if you love all things Chanel then you will love this collection.
