In this month’s issue of Elle I did makeup for the beauty trend editorial covering all the trends for this autumn/winter so whether you want to go natural or all out this editorial has got it covered. The story was shot as if it was backstage at fashion week and I was so excited to be part of this amazing team.
Fresh looking skin and a flush on the cheek is the perfect way to add a healthy glow to the skin during winter without going to bold. For paler skin’s go for pinks and peaches and for darker skin pops of plum looking amazing.
For a bolder look stained berry lips and a wash of pink on the eyes looks amazing with a dewy complexion and subtle contouring. My favourite foundations for this look are the Mac mineralise moisture and Smashbox Liquid Halo.
Bold graphic eyes is definitely big this season but not the usual cat eye, this year its a more rounded shape and looks amazing on Anoushka’s fair skin tone. I used a mixture of Mac fluid line in blacktrack and L’oreal superliner blackbuster to create the look.
Red lips are always in any time of year, this seasonits lashings of mascara giving that almost clumped look top and bottom and a bold red lip. For highlighting I used The Balm Mary Lou manizer and contoured using the Smashbox contour kit.
Bold brows and the no makeup makeup look is pretty much a trend each season its all about enhancing the features and making the skin look amazing. The models skin was prepped with Dermalogica skincare to really make the skin glow.
I love a berry lip and this season its in so if you have got some in your makeup stash then now is the time to get it out. Mac have some amazing shades Dark side is def a favourite of mine mixed in with Mac Nightmoth lip pencil to create the intensity.
The sports luxe makeup look is the next step up from the no makeup makeup look with a touch of purple shadow glossed up to add something extra to your makeup. For darker skin tones go for greens and create the gloss by adding some Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream.
Grey and silver smokey eyes is a great way to work the smokey eye without being too bold and makes it wearable day or night. Here I used one of my Chanel eye palettes but any silvers and deep grey shimmer shadows will work.
Three new items in my kit that definitely are a must have for amazing looking skin and working the bold eye.
What will be your favourite trend this season?
