I am seriously in love with the latest beauty shoot I did with Elle Magazine SA with my idol photographer Daniella Midenge. I was on makeup for the shoot and my brief was to focus on the trend lips moving from late summer into autumn/winter shades as well as playing with textures like the ombre lip matt lip and the gloss chocolate lip.
In the opening picture I focused on the berry lip with red in the centre to create the matt lip I used red eyeshadow as it really creates beautiful definition to the lip. To create definition to the outer part of the lips I used Mac Nightmoth lip pencil its a gorgeous deep berry pencil
Below I emphasised the deep red lip with a mixture of berry and for the eyes I just defined Milan’s eyes using Bobbi Brown Espresso eyeshadow. The bright orange lip doesn’t only have to be a summer shade its one of those colours that lifts the complexion all year round. The Mac Morange lipstick is one of my fav orange lippies plus is matt in texture so it looks really cool. I used neutral cream shades for the eyes to make Jessica-Lee’s blue eyes really pop. I barely used any foundation just a touch of Mac Face and Body as her skin was great and we wanted the freckles to come through.
This look is really one of my favourites, a dark brown/chocolate lip really looks amazing on even if it doesn’t sound great and with the gloss over it even better. To create the high shine on the skin I used my trusty Elizabeth Arden 8HR cream to get that natural glow.
I got featured at the end of the story focusing on how to achieve the look with the dark chocolate lips, plus tips on using lip liner. To create the definition on the brows I also used one of my favourites the Clarins Be Long Mascara as well as on the lashes for both the girls to give that serious groomed brow.
