This shoot was so much fun with such a cool team with one of the coolest models Nykhor that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She is a Sudanese refugee that has taken the modelling world by storm, she is effortless, fun and serious all at the same time. The shoot was shot in Kynsna with photographer Ricardo Ismail, makeup by me and styling by the Elle girls Taryn and Nicole. The look was pretty easy, I prepped Nykor’s skin with Dermalogica skin care and then used Mac matchmaker foundation in no 10 its the prefect shade for really dark skin tones. For the eyes I used Mac fluid line in backtrack to create the graphic eye and filled in brows with Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in espresso.
For the highlighting I used Black Up and for the contouring Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Espresso. The cheeks I used Mac blush in stubborn to add that pop and flush to the cheeks. For the lips I used one of my favourite lipsticks for darker complexions is the Mac matte smoked purple lipstick.
Plus I got to feature our cool jewellery brand The Branch with the amazing wood and gold bangle.
