Protecting your skin against the harsh rays should be the key elemeant to any beauty routine especially if you live in a warm climate. I used to be so bad at applying sunscreen especially to my face until I moved to Cape Town. Living and working in the heat really makes you evaluate how you look after your skin. Everyone should have a face sunscreen that is SPF 50. The higher the SPF the longer the protection from getting burnt. In this post I wanted to share my current two favourite face sunscreens that work a treat and ensure I am 100% protected against the harsh rays.
First up the new Filorga UV Bronze Face Anti-Ageing Sun Fluid SPF 50 (R485) which is part of a new skincare range launching this month. The sunscreen not only fights against wrinkles and dark spots but totally adds hydration into the game as well. The sunscreen has a subtle coconut smell which I love totally reminding me of summer. With ingredients of pure coconut oil that really makes your face feel like its getting some hydration. I love that the product melts into my skin immediately without leaving any white smear marks and gives a subtle glow. The Filogra sunscreen is super light and really protects my skin from getting burnt. I have used this bad boy on really hot days while visiting London and my quick pop over to France and it gets a thumbs up from me all the way.
The key benefits of the new Filorga UV Bronze Sun fluid:
- Contains a UV photo activated technology which provides a high protection against UV and helps combat the signs of ageing.
- It contains a potent antioxidant Suloraphrane that helps the skin against stress and wrinkles.
- A powerful Vitmain PP acts on dark spots and ebens out skintone.
The SVR Clarial Creme SPF 50 (R230) has been my go to sunscreen for the past few months for myself and for my hubbie. Its thicker in consisency than the Filorga sunscreen so a little goes a long way. Its a very high anti-brown spot sun protectant for all skin types. I have put this one to the test in crazy hot conditions and I haven’t gotten burnt. Plus it lasts even when I have been swimming. I love that it has a non sticky texture but make sure you apply this before you get into the sun. Due to its thicker consistency you need your face to be totally dry to endure that it blends in easily. Even if you have the most sensitive skin this one will not let you down.
Spring is here in South Africa so make sure you are using a face sunscreens and invest in a good one.
