In the Elle trend beauty shoot I did for the May issue I was asked by the Elle team to talk through how to create the trend gloss eye for this autumn/winter. Its not an every day look but it can look really beautiful to add an extra dimension to your makeup.
The key to the overall look is to keep the skin looking natural and fresh and not to take any focus away from the eyes and to keep lips nude.In this shot I prepped Charissa’s lids with a primer this will help the product to last longer, I am a massive fan of the Smashbox 24HR photo finish eyeshadow primer it really lasts the distance. The trend is a pretty lilac/puple eye with gloss to finish off the look. For this shoot I used Mac eyeshadow in purple haze on the lids up the crease, keep packing the product till you get the colour pay off you need. For the gloss effect I used my personal favourite the Elizabeth Arden 8HR cream because its not sticky and looks just as good as an eye gloss. For the volume lashes I used the L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky mascara to finihs off the eyes.
Its really simple and very pretty.
