How To Create The Wow Factor to your Berry Lipstick
Earlier this week I was shooting beauty for Elle magazine with the rockstar photographer Daniella Midenge for those of you who don’t know who she is take a quick look at her work here. The shoot was all about the lips with a mix from Summer moving to AW14 trends but adding little twists. My fav look was taking the berry lip and pushing it to give that wow factor and making your look stand out above the rest.
The key to the look is to take either an eyeshadow or a pigment and pack it into the centre of the lips this adds so much more dimension to the look. My fav products to do this is Mac they have all the amazing colours and textures.
Make sure you prep your lips first and that they are hydrated as once you add the powder layer to the lipstick your lips could dry out so this step is important. Line your lips to create definition I love Mac Nightmoth for this its one of my favourite lip liners for the darker lip.
Take the lipstick and apply a few layers to get a good colour payoff and then the magic happens with the colour you apply over. I took a red blush to add the wow factor to the centre of the lips with the Bobbi Brown Eye Sweep brush its large enough to get right in there and pack in the colour. You don’t have to go with a red but it looks amazing paired with berry lip and the matt effect just looks really amazing.
That’s what I love about makeup you can use anything to create a look and one product can be used in so many ways.
