I did hair and makeup yesterday morning for Glamour magazine and the model, fashion editor and photographer all said to me how did I create such amazing skin for the model. So I thought why not write a post about it. The model Mariska did have pretty good skin to start with but with the right combination of products her skin had a beautiful glow to it.
We all want to look healthy and make our skin come alive and have that gorgeous looking glow so your skincare is still such an important part of creating this. Yes you need an amazing foundation etc but you need to create the base first.
I used Dermalogica skincare on Mariska because I love the Antioxidant Hydramist this one really packs in all the goodness and moisture into the skin. I like to spray it on the face and then press my palms into the skin. For the moisturiser I used the Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream as its very gentle on the skin and adds a beautiful glow but you can use other skincare for your base but the point to getting amazing looking skin is to have a great beauty routine and then the rest will look amazing.
The 2 key products to getting that glowing skin is the Mac Mineralise Moisture Foundation and the Revlon Skinlight face illuminator mixed in together and then buffed into the skin. My fav brush at the moment is the Sigma Flat Kabuki brush its so soft on the skin, gets the most amount of product on the face and just makes the skin look amazing. If you need extra coverage then take a blending brush and buff in your concealer if you have any redness until everything looks seamless.
