how to get that glow with Mac Cosmetics

When it comes to highlighters Mac has it down to a T. In this post I am chatting about how to get that glow with Mac Cosmetics using 2 products. By combining both you can get that lit from within glow that makes you just look super healthy and gorgeous. I have kept makeup super minimal here as I just want to emphasise the skin. Plus just keep it really simple. So which 2 products am I chatting about? The Hyper Real Foundation and the Iridescent Loose Powder. Luckily there are a few shades to choose from if you are light to medium/dark skin tone then keep reading.

There are 4 shades of the Hyper Real Foundation (R500) I purchased the Gold FX and Bronze for my kit. They are weighliess liquid highlighters that you can either apply straight onto the skin first, mix a little with highlighters or apply on key points of your face. Now they are pretty thinck so use a little at a time. Here I apply the highlighter and blend into my skin using a brush.

Then I apply my foundation and concealer over the hyper real foundation. So basically after my skincare routine I have prepped my skin with the highlighter.

Next up the Mac Iridescent Loose Powders (R375)  which are AMAZING. Silver Dusk has been in my kit for ages because its just truly gorgeous. Mac have now added the Golden Bronze for the darker skin tones so that one has gone straight into my pro kit. The powders are a finely milled mixture of mica and pigments that gives the skin a glaze of colour with intense pearl. Remember a little goes a long way so build up with the product.

I took some of the silver dusk and applied in all the key points to add to that lit from within glow. I applied to all the key points my cheek bones, temple, nose and cupids bow.

You can see here without me applying any contouring or lippie etc my skin is really glowing. My complexion looks healthy and lit from within. Both products are on the pricier side but I promise a little goes a long way so they will last.

Happy Highlighting.
