More and more people are turning to natural products including me. I try and be as concious as I can and opting for oragnic products for meself and my pro kit. So when I was invited to the iconic brand Burts Bees launch I was super excited. For those of you who don’t know it at all its famous for its lip balms made with beeswax a natural hydrating ingredient. For now there is a limited amount available in SA so lets hope that will change.
Burts Bees is a brand used by celebrity makeup artists like Georgie Eisdell who paints faces like Sophie Turner and Gweneth Paltrow. So if its good enough for a celebrity makeup artist its a brand we should be wanting to get our hands on. Just testing out the balms I have been so impressed. If you check out my instagram account Shahnaz Loves beauty you will see on insta stories my first impressions. I love the balms, the smells and the textures. I was even surprised that the lip shimmer actually had a shimmer. I have tested out other brands before with a promise of a shimmer or a sparkle and they have been a massive disappointment.
The products have all ingredients used from nature, with no animal testing plus recyclable packaging.Burts Bees have used ingredients that are nutrient rich to help support a strong and healthy skin barrier. You can find amazing ingredients like Beeswax, cocoa butter, aloe and the list goes on to find out more click here.
The Coconut and Pear balm smells ridiculously good (R75). I love how my lips feel its an instant relief to the lips. Infused with powerful fruit extracts and Beeswax to richly moisturize and soften lips, the nourishing oils and butters will make your lips juicy, happy and healthy. With a matte finish and moisturizing balm texture, this tint free tube of soothing lip balm glides on smoothly to nourish dry lips while keeping them revitalized and hydrated.
For an even more intense hydration try the Ultra Conditioning Balm (R75 ). Infused with rich Kokum, Shea and Cocoa Butter to leave your lips richly moisturized and soft. It doesn’t smell fruity like the coconut and pear but your lips will feel amazing after application.
I really love the Burts Bees Lip Shimmers (R99) the caramel which I test out on instagram is so pretty on you can wear it like a lippie. There are 11 shimmering shades to choose from so am keen to test out some of the others. The balm glides on beautifully leaves a good hint of colour while seriously hydrating lips at the same time. As well as the shimmers there are tinted lip balms (R75) depending on your preference. I love a bit of shimmer myself but if that’s not your vibe then a tinted lip balm will be just as good.
I also got to test out the Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (R125) it smells divine I can’t stop smelling it. The cream which feels like a balm moisturises nails ands cuticles. Its a 100% natural with sweet almond oil and cocoa seed butter moisturize and soften your cuticles while vitamin E and sunflower oil nourish brittle nails. A hint of lemon scent leaves your nails smelling clean and fresh. Resulting in healthy looking nails.
As well as their famous balms you can get your hands on face wipes, a peach face scrub, foot lotion, hand creams, body lotions, a rejuvenating face mask plus even some face skincare for your man. I am definitely going to be testing some out and with the prices being so affordable you can definitely invest in a few goodies.
