In My Makeup Bag with Tori from Kiss, Blush and Tell
If you have been following my blog recently I have been sharing some of South Africa’s best beauty bloggers makeup bags and this week Tori from Kiss, Blush and Tell gives us a sneek peak into her weekend makeup bag. Winner of Fairlady Best Beauty Blogger in 2012 and surrounding by all things beauty working at Woollies Victoria knows her stuff.
The makeup bag is Tori’s I am going on a weekend away going to make myself look pretty. Its all about fresh no effort skin that is just how I like it too. With pretty pinks and shimmers and a smokey look for the evening. I have been dying to try Tarte Cosmetics so now I think I will have to be ordering some for me too.
So here are Tori’s go to products:
Bobbi Brown Highlight Powder in Bronze Glow:
This is a new launch from Bobbi and, in my opinion, gives their much-loved Shimmer Brick a run for its money! It has a creamy/powder texture so leaves skin looking radiant and glowy without being overly sparkly. Less is definitely more but love dusting a bit of this on the top of my cheekbones.
Smashbox Lid Primer:
The perfect product to make sure your eye-shadow stays put. I also use this on my lips when I want my lipstick to stay in place so it never leaves my make-up bag!
Bourjois 1 Seconde Volume Mascara:
I reached for this as being waterproof, this mascara is perfect for beach days and adds great volume. Not usually a waterproof mascara girl, but quite handy when needed.
EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint:
I just love this stuff, who wouldn’t!?
Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Base:
I love this for summery, fresh, bronzed skin. It gives my skin the perfect amount of coverage and faux-glow. I’d definitely say this is my best ‘no make-up, make-up’ foundation.
Bobbi Brown Palette in Lilac Rose:
I always use this palette for travelling as it has a great selection of matte shadows and my perfect brow shade, so a handy 2-in-1. Bobbi shadows are some of the best out there!
Chanel Eye Liner in Black:
I don’t normally wear liner on a day-to-day basis but handy to take any look from day to night. I love the texture of this Chanel liner – this is my third one, I’m too nervous to stray from it!
Smashbox Brow Tech To-Go:
This has the brow gel (with a handy mini-spooly) and the brow crayon. This product is so easy to use and always gives a great effect.
Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge:
When I am feeling the cream blush look this is my go-to product. I have a few shades and this one always works perfectly – I love it. I use my Real Techniques stippling brush to apply it.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hr Blush in Natural Beauty:
My go-to powder blush. It lasts really well, which I love. I have a few favourite blushes, it’s definitely the beauty product I have the biggest weakness for – it transforms any dull-looking skin!
Bobbi Brown Corrector:
Be gone dark circles! This is a little miracle worker.
Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer:
I don’t often use a primer, and this is the one I am reviewing at the moment, but when I am wearing heavier make up in the eve, I love Smashbox’s options.
YSL Touche Eclat:
A staple no matter what look I am going for. This highlights brilliantly.
Shu Uemura Lipstick:
This poppy pink lip stick is sheer and easy-to-wear.
