This is the first time I have actually bought or used anything from the brand Colourpop. I actually saw a beauty shot on instagram crediting the brand and the palette so of course I had to buy it. Introducing the Colourpop Yes Please Palette its bold and beautiful. Its perfect for warming up the complexion with its red and orange undertone shades. Plus some gold and yellow thrown in too. To really smoke it up work in French Kiss a brown shade that adds a gorgeous definition to the outer corners of the eyes. Really affordable at R490 for 12 beautiful shades am very happy with my latest purchase.
Colourpop is a brand that prides itself on good quality makeup without breaking the bank. They have so many fun and bold palettes that just have so many gorgeous colours. The brand is really fun and young and the quality is amazing. Plus the makeup is cruelty free which is definitely a massive plus. I am so excited to work with the palette tomorrow on my beauty story its going to look amazing. So watch this space.
The Yes Please Palette was inspired by the golden hour time of the day with shadows like big cocktail which I use here and Louie and Bling those amazing rusty red shades so really make everything POP. I used Big Cocktail but I really went bold here but you can actually just work it by using a subtle wash of the shade.
I then applied Butter Cake a gold shimmer shade to work into the inner corners of the eyes to make my eyes POP.
To finish off the look I applied the Smashbox L.A Lights Lip and cheek Stick on cheeks and lips. I wanted to keep the look really simple and quick and easy to do. My foundation and concealer plus contouring had already been done here.
The finished look is a pretty pop of colour on my eyes just adding a warmth to my complexion. Always try pop a light shimmer shade on the inner corners of your eyes. It always ties the look together and really makes the eyes POP.
If you want to see the palette in more action check out the Colourpop video showing a day to night look with twin sisters and see how versatile it really is. Plus a hairstyle to go with each look:
To buy Colourpop in SA you can buy a large range from Muse Beauty but I actually got from Makeup Shack as the palette was sold out on Muse. Definitely worth checking out and adding some palettes into your collection.
