Yay the beautiful Chanel SS21 makeup collection is here and it’s stunning. To say I was excited with my Chanel press drop was an understatement. Makeup artist Lucia Pica curated Les Fleurs de Chanel collection that’s mixed with earthy brown undertones, radiant skin and with the intensity of bronze and copper. I didn’t get to play with all the collection but what I did get I love. I definitely have my eye on the eyeshadow palettes and the Ombre Premiere Laque (cream eyeshadows). They look absolutely stunning and the shades are totally for me.
The Volume de Chanel Terracotta Mascara in 120 (R720) is a metallic rosey and coppery brown mascara. Its really a beauty on and I love that its not the usual black, When the mascara catches the light lashes look gorgeous.
Now the Fleurs de Printemps (R1335) highlighter and blush palette this really is my favourite. The design is so beautiful it did make me a little sad I had to actually use it. The highlighter is a satiny pink and the blush is a luminous pink coral. This palette really gives a radiant sun kissed finish and totally warms up the cheeks. As well as glows the key points of the face. The finish is fresh and elegant and really is so stunning. I used the fan brush for the key points with the highlighter and then In took another brush to apply the blush to my cheeks. You can use the fan brush for both.
Tips from Lucia:
“For a healthy glow, apply blush high on the cheeks and highlighter on the cheekbones, or on the areas where you wish to attract light. Or, try mixing the shades together with a brush. For a fresh, sun-kissed effect, sweep the brush”.
Love the glow and how my skin looks. You can go see the makeup in action on my instagram highlights on shahnazlovesbeauty. I wanted to show how beautiful the highlighter and blush look and how the products catch the light.
The lip collection is absolutely beautiful. I LOVE Chanel lipsticks and how they look on me. The colours are always spot on and the reds are just classics. Here I have applied the Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme in Ecolision (R760) it’s a warm coral. I love the texture and how it totally brightens up my complexion. Plus I love matte lipsticks they last longer and just look more modern.
I wanted to show the swatches of the Rouge Allure Laque ( R780) lippies in this post. You can see one of them in action on my Chanel SS21 highlights on my instagram feed. They are stunning and look and feel amazing. I actually got to play with three shades but the two in the new collection are the Dark Blossom which is the metallic reddish aubergine shade.
The bright poppy red Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Pavot Rouge is so beautiful. I am definitely going to be testing out Lucia’s tips on mixing the darker and brighter red together to make an ombre lip. So watch this space on my instagram reels. The darker red is called Timeless and is just a stunning on. Love them all.
Tips from Lucia on wearing the lipsticks:
“ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE. Apply with the included applicator: use the flat side to apply the colour and the tip to define the lips. If there is excess product on the tip, you can gently wipe it off. Apply a touch of ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE Pavot Rouge in the middle of Dark Blossomto brighten the look – it’s a stunning colour combination.
ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME. Apply straight from the bullet, leaving the edges soft, or use a lip brush for more precision and a defined line. Apply with an eyeshadow blending brush for a blurred edge and more feminine look.”
The Chanel SS21 makeup collection is available in selected Woolworths stores plus the stand alone Chanel store in the V&A Waterfront.
